Last week, the 2024 SAP for Global Trade and Tax Conference took over Amsterdam, bringing together professionals from across the globe to dive into the challenges and opportunities of international trade and tax compliance. With more than 170 attendees - featuring SAP experts, industry leaders, and innovative partners - the event was packed with knowledge sharing, collaboration, and actionable insights over two busy days.

The agenda included over 30 sessions, from hands-on workshops to real-world customer stories. These sessions showcased how businesses are successfully automating tax compliance and tackling ever-evolving regulatory requirements. Attendees walked away with practical tips and strategies to stay ahead of changes like new e-invoicing mandates.

On top of that, the conference created plenty of opportunities to connect. Networking receptions and panel discussions gave everyone a chance to share ideas and address big topics like AI’s role in tax management and improving transparency in cross-border operations.

As things wrapped up, excitement was already building for the 2025 conference in Rome. With such a strong showing this year, the SAP for Global Trade and Tax Conference is clearly a key event for anyone shaping the future of compliance and innovation.

Well balanced mental health is crucial for a resilient and happy workforce. Today is World Mental Health Day, and in acknowledgment of this we will be emphasising the following:

➡ Reclaim your lunchbreak. 82% of Brits do not take a full lunch break, with two thirds of workers eating lunch at their desk most days (https://lnkd.in/ejaqY78X>). We encourage a regular lunchbreak away from the work desk, and suggest daily calendar blockers to protect the lunch period.

➡ It's good to talk. Spend half an hour chatting with a colleague they wouldn't normally talk to or checking in on a personal level with their team during a virtual coffee break.

Like the flowers in the below image, we need periods of rest, nurturing and protection in order to encourage a growth mindset. It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace
