THIS WEEKEND AT THE YARD ⭐️

After what can politely be described as a bit of a rocky last week, we are feeling much more optimistic about the coming few days, and we've brought out the all stars for it.

We kick off the week on Wednesday night with The Chase's Paul Sinha headlining our comedy night, and then it's Thursday to Sunday of all the good stuff.

☑️ BACK OPEN ☑️

Yesterday was brutal. We hope everyone managed to stay safe and warm.

We had to make a difficult decision to close which became a lot easier as the day went on. Street food by its nature is often beat up by the weather but that was something else. Sending love to all the indies who were at the mercy of Darragh yesterday.

Unfortunately our new stretch tent didn’t survive the storm and we’ve spent the morning removing it and tidying up the debris. The good news it’s gone and the traders are back in business ready to serve up your Sunday dinner.

We would love it if you could come and support them today as independent businesses they have lost a trading day which incurs costs more than just stock so we’d like to give them the best day today possible.

We are back open from 1PM to give a little extra time for clean up so please grab your family, friends and come down the yard for a feed.

❌ CLOSED ❌

We’re absolutely gutted to say that Storm Darragh has won and we can not safely open the venue today. Yours and our teams well being is the most important thing and comes before anything else.

Apologies to the groups who had booked in and anyone else who was looking to join us today. Also to our traders who have prepped and will lose a days trade.

We hope to be back open tomorrow once it’s settled down, we will update in due course.

Most importantly stay safe everyone. Look out for your neighbours x

Tonight is looking lovely in Longbridge as we have a special guest trader Maneki Ramen doing their thing. If you have a taste for Japanese flavours then you will not want to miss this. 🍜

We’re also going Dutch with those Cheeky Pancakes bringing the sweetness and their signature pannenkoeken 🥞

HY legends BEEF ON THE BLOCK are bringing up the British side with steak and chips and that French dip sandwich 🥪

Last but certainly not least are our December resident Disco Fries with hand cut loaded fries including the Brie-yoncé Xmas spesh.

Please come on down to eat and support some wonderful independent food traders as they deliver the very best in street eats.

🍜 Maneki Ramen are popping up this THURSDAY ONLY at HY!

The Tokyo inspired ramen shop have been serving up bowls of joy in Worcester since lockdown and their popularity has gone global. They regularly receive millions of views for their recipe videos on insta and they have recently been voted as the best Japanese restaurant in the game. Now they are coming to Birmingham!!

Chef spent years in Tokyo perfecting his broth amongst the masters and has truly honed his craft. We’ve been lucky enough to eat Pete’s food on a few occasions and we’re delighted he’ll be bringing the good stuff to yard.

If you’re in to your Japanese flavours this is a must. They are currently crowdfunding and will be inviting pledges for your dishes this Thursday.

BARBARA NICE IS GOING ON TOUR 😍🚌

We are delighted to announce that national treasure, host of Bingo Bab and now a firm A-lister in Longbridge, Barbara Nice, is bringing her UK tour to Herbert's Yard in January 2025.

She's supported Peter Kay and Jason Manford on their tours, got to the final of Britain's Got Talent and more than anything, hosts our monthly bingo night which is packed to the rafters every time - so let's give her the show she deserves!

Barbara Nice is a loveable force of nature. She's hilarious and uplifting, she’s the perfect antidote to doom and gloom and if you’re in need of a comedy pick-me-up Barbara’s your woman – just like your favourite aunt at a family wedding she’ll get you going with her unique comic insights and her celebrations of daily life.

FOUR DAYS LEFT OF STRIPCLUB 💕😭

We've absolutely loved having Tom and the gang in Longbridge for the whole of November, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end. They've been excellent residents and we're not quite sure the back Yard will look the same without that pink glow lighting up the place. ☹️

Come and give the crew a proper send off as they sling out some of the best burgers around for just 4 more days. 💪
