Did you know that drawings of Carlos Acosta are currently featured in an exhibition at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (UK)?

The exhibition by Curtis Holder, winner of Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year 2020, showcases the portraits he created throughout the competition, offering a glimpse into his artistic journey leading up to the final piece.

This display marks the inaugural exhibition in the new Contemporary Voices gallery, where artists, makers, and communities engage with Birmingham's collection, responding to the people and events that resonate within the city.

Birmingham Royal Ballet is devastated to announce the death of CEO Caroline Miller OBE. Caroline passed away in the early hours of 15th December after a long illness. All of us at BRB wish to give our heartfelt thanks for her unbridled enthusiasm, dedication and loyalty. She will be remembered with much fondness by us all.

We're delighted to have all of our Constant Lambert Fellows conducting the Royal Ballet Sinfonia during our Birmingham run of The Nutcracker. 🎶

So far, we've been joined by three incredible Fellows – Thomas Jung, Charlotte Politi, and Yi Wei (our current Fellow). The Constant Lambert Fellowship continues to play a vital role in nurturing and advancing the careers of emerging conductors for large-scale ballet and music.

It is with sadness that we announce today that our CEO Caroline Miller will be stepping down from her role due to ill health.

Caroline Miller OBE will officially leave BRB on 4 April 2025. The BRB board has announced today that Paul James, currently deputy CEO, will be appointed as acting CEO with immediate effect and that a full recruitment process for a new permanent CEO will begin early in the New Year.
