Birmingham’s most exclusive Italian restaurant is preparing for a “Buon Natale” and has launched a mouth-watering Christmas menu for those kneading some inspiration for festive dining.

Lucarelli Restaurant which has two sites, Mailbox and West Bromwich, is known for serving authentic Italian cuisine in the most instagrammable setting. The glass encased terrace is always a popular choice for those looking or a special dinner. To help you celebrate the festive season they are offering a three course Christmas Fayre menu for £39.90 which is available from 25th November to 24th December.

The team at Lucarelli has been very excited to showcase their favourite dishes. Highlights from the starters selection include the Ravioli All’ Aragosta - fresh ravioli filled with lobster in a garlic, chilli, parsley and tomato sauce, and the Carpaccio Di Bresaola - Cured beef bresaola served with dried figs, blue cheese and honey.

Diners will have a hard time selecting from the mains which feature Oven baked salmon fillet with creamy spinach and prawn sauce, Fillet of beef with a peppercorn sauce (£7 supplement) and Chicken supreme in a creamy mushroom sauce. All dishes are served with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Those who prefer traditional Christmas fayre will enjoy the Tacchino Ripieno - Roast turkey served with stuffing, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce and gravy.

Vegetarians can choose from several options including the Risotto Al Funghi Porchini Grana Tartufo - Carnaroli rice with wild mushrooms, Grana Padano cheese and black truffle and the Parmigiana Di Melanzane - Oven baked layers of aubergines, tomato sauce, basil and pecorino cheese.

A tempting dessert selection features some Italian classics such as Tiramisu, Panna Cotta with citrus cream and a caramel sauce and Torte al Pistacchio – a delicious Italian pistachio cake.

Alessandro Meraglia of Lucarelli said: “Italians are famous for our wonderful hospitality and this is especially true at Christmas. Our team has worked very hard to produce a festive menu that will appeal to all tastes, whilst offering the classic flavours of Italy. We are confident that our guests will agree the result is truly Bellissimo!”

Lucarelli has also launched a selection of exclusive Padelle dishes, where pasta is prepared with the utmost care and served directly to your table in authentic Italian pans. It’s a true Italian sharing experience, designed to bring you closer to the warmth and essence of Italy.

Thank you to everyone who came to our little soireé at Resorts World to mark Vietnamese Street Kitchen's 5th birthday. The Cow & Sow announce opening date

Birmingham is once again elevating its steak game as the new Cow & Sow, is set to fire up Paradise when it opens its doors to the public on Monday 2nd December.

With the opening date of the One Chamberlain Square venue just around corner, those who want to be in prime position, first through the doors are now able to make a booking.

With two Bristol venues under its belt already Cow & Sow has been setting the bar high already with its offering of top quality steak

At Cow & Sow, the star of the show is undoubtedly the steak. Sourced from the finest South West farms, the beef is aged to perfection and sourced from expert butchers to ensure every bite is tender and flavourful. The menu will feature an array of prime aged steaks, from single cuts to exceptional sharing steaks from grass-fed cattle alongside delicious sides & small plates to start. Indulge in specialty steaks from the chophouse including flat iron, sirloin, ribeye and fillet steaks – all 35-day aged. A must try accompaniment is the signature crispy onion blossom with black garlic dip.

Taking the helm will be General Manager, Jordan Stewart, who has previously worked at Birmingham’s Hotel Du Vin and several other of the city’s prestigious venues.

Founder Mark Warburton said : “When I launched Cow & Sow three years ago I wanted to build a brand to be proud of and to take the teams on an exciting and purposeful journey. But how could this business walk the walk and not just talk it? In my opinion, the sticking point with endless awards it that they are only a snapshot in time, can sometimes be quite biased and certainly subjective.

The answer had to be BCorp ™. As a steak restaurant business it would be a tough ask, but I knew we were doing great things by the people and planet. We were engaging with suppliers, ensuring provenance and sustainability of our product. As a team we collectively review our environmental impact and share ideas to reduce our carbon footprint in all manner of areas. This was always more than just a steak restaurant brand and I wanted to start as I meant to go on and continually strive to be a force for good.

On Friday we spent a very entertaining evening at LoveBrum's Curry King Of Birmingham fundraiser.

We haven't had a Curry King event since before lockdown so it was great to bring this corporate fundraiser back with a spicy twist! in the process we raised over 74k for good causes and we had a blast.

Love Brum have been out raising funds grass roots charities Hidden Heroes, so thank everyone who donated money on the night.

Lulu Wild launch "The Earth’s Echo" menu, the latest edition to the Enchanted Tales series

One of Birmingham’s most instagrammable restaurants has launched an exquisite, limited edition menu to celebrate the arrival of Autumn.

Chapter 4: The Earth’s Echo is the latest edition to the Enchanted Tales series from modern Chinese restaurant, Lulu Wild in Brindleyplace. Enchanted Tales is a series of unique menus that tells the story of the changing seasons through carefully curated dishes and cocktails and matching décor to provide an immersive dining experience.

Each chapter brings a new and exclusive dish and drink inspired by a different theme. Earth follows, Fire, Air and Water and has been designed to reflect the sights and sounds of Autumn with its orange and golden hues, the sound of rustling of leaves and the scent of luscious nature on a forest walk.

Guests dining in The Nest area will enjoy sitting amongst décor inspired by nature with ferns, moss and bark conjuring up memories of a sun dappled stroll along a woodland trail.

This limited edition menu features an indulgent Grounded Banana Parfait featuring chocolate soil, vanilla custard and banana. Rum lovers will enjoy the special cocktail pairing – Earth & Essence with Brugal 1888, Banana and Amaro Montenegro.

Earth will also be available at Lulu Wild’s sister restaurants Siamais and Aluna who will each serve their own exclusive menu. Those with a sweet tooth will love Thai restaurant, Siamais’ Crispy Nutella Wontons – Nutella wrapped in crispy wonton pastry dusted with cinnamon & icing sugar. This is matched by the Sweet Gaia cocktail, a blend of Brugal 1888 Rum, Disaronno Amaretto, Mozart Dark Chocolate.

Cocktail bar and pan-Asian restaurant in Birmingham, Aluna, will serve an oven-roasted cauliflower steak served on a bed of puréed butter beans, accompanied by carrots, shimeji mushrooms, and sugar snap peas, all drizzled with chimichurri sauce. This is paired with the Ginger Spirit cocktail with Brugal 1888 rum, Kings Ginger and Coconut Water.

Naomi Aly from the Enchanted Ventures group thinks that guests will fall in love with the Earth’s Echo: “Our team has worked incredibly hard to create a culinary journey that will inspire and delight guests when they visit.

“The Enchanted Tales series has been really popular with those wanted to experience something unique at our restaurants. The grand finale of the series will be unveiled later this year with Aether, Cosmic Christmas launching at the end of November.”
