UK Sports contractor We also supply storage on site both long and short term.

Based on the NEC complex in Birmingham, we provide all the technical crew for the Resorts World Arena, Utilita Arena Birmingham, The ICC and VOX. Our work there involves all the stage and seat builds for every concert and event. Our forklift drivers are responsible for unloading and reloading all the arctic lorries for every gig. Our team have an in-depth knowledge of the NEC site and are involved

in events happening on a daily basis. We also supply crew to exhibition organisers, stand builders and exhibitors. We have three portable Junckers wooden sports floors, Netball, Basketball and Badminton. These are regularly built for England netball, Netball Super League, BBL and England and Yonex Badminton all over the UK. We also supplied three netball courts to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. We are the sole Junckers approved demountable wooden sports floor installers in the world. With our unit being right amongst the halls on the NEC we are ideally placed for our crew to work for various exhibition contractors unloading and building the stands. We’re proud to be recognised as an NEC Group Preferred Supplier.

Ensuring an accurate mark out is the first and most crucial step to get the track build right.

Simultaneously, our team has been bringing up the steels and panels so we are ready for tomorrow’s big day! Having a storage space underneath the Utilita Arena just makes operations easier and more sustainable.

🎉 A Historic Day for the Neonteam! 🎉

Today is a very special day for our – we’ve just broken a record! A total of 55 incredible people were out working for us across a range of events, making sure everything was set to perfection:
• Strength in Depth: The last day of build before the show opens tomorrow at NEC Halls.
• Spring Fair: Our team teamed up with the lovely bunch from One.World helping bring this exciting event to life.
• Bullet for My Valentine at Utilita and Young Voices at BP Pulse Live – our team was there, preparing seating and staging for both shows and we have teams back at both arenas for night shift doing the turnarounds for Athletics at Utilita and TOTO at BP Pulse Live
• Vitality Netball Nations Cup: Court installation and carpet fitting at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena for England Netball.
• Badminton Mats Delivery at David Ross Sports Village for Badminton England.

Whatever the event, our is always ready to bring it all to life, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. 💪

Professionalism, attention to detail, hard-work but specially a unique passion for events.

We did the truss for the Quirky Barn stand - thank you Coker Exhibition Systems for reaching out.

Moved and set in place seating units for the Strength in Depth show - the team is really excited to be working with the Pendigo Events’ team again.

At Neon, we pride ourselves on meticulous planning and organisation for every job we take on.
That's why we’ve been making regular trips to our storage unit in the heart of Birmingham — located conveniently beneath the Utilita Arena.

These trips are crucial for ensuring that all the flooring we need for the upcoming season is ready, in perfect condition and correctly labelled.

Our floor team is going to be very busy this weekend with some super exciting builds you won’t want to miss. Stay tuned for updates.

Busy couple of days for our !

Started the Saturday nice and early laying carpet tiles for a stand at the NEC Halls - Llama is always a great show to kick start February!

Then, off to Essex for our first Super Shot line marking for London Mavericks - can’t wait to see all the action this new rule will bring to the matches!

And today, site visit in Brentwood to be better prepared for our first floor build at Brentwood Centre.

🎉 December 2024: A Month of Incredible Moments & New Beginnings! 🎉

What a way to close out an unforgettable year! December has been nothing short of epic, with standout moments that will stay with us for a long time. 💥

One of the biggest highlights was FIT Fest at the NEC Halls – it was a massive event for us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with such an incredible new client! Our crew had an absolute blast, and we’re all looking forward to more projects like this in the future. 🙌

Carys Lewis-Waterfield, one of our staff members, was a crew chief for the entire Fit Fest job. She shared ‘It was the first ever event I’ve been a part from start to finish and I loved it! The buzz from a NEC halls shift just hits differently, especially when the crew were on top form throughout.’

Theo Denny, one of our full-timers, said FIT Fest was also his favourite job: 'This build was unique and fun, working with sports flooring, CrossFit rigging and great clients'

The arenas kept the energy high with iconic performances from Human League, Pete Tong, Sam Fender, S Club, and of course, the festive fun of Elf, getting us all in the Christmas spirit! 🎄✨

As we approach the end of this fantastic year, it’s time for a well-deserved pause. Spending time with our loved ones and some welcome lay-ins will recharge our batteries. But we’re already excited for the incredible journey 2025 is shaping up to be. Here’s to a bright and exciting new year ahead! 🌟

🎸 November: A Month of Rock, Milestones, and Unforgettable Moments! 🎸

November was absolutely legendary, and we were right in the middle of it all! From the electrifying performances of Deep Purple, Kasabian, UB40, The Corrs, Nick Cave, Black Stone Cherry, Free Radio, and Charli XCX, the arenas were buzzing with excitement!

Kim, one of our new starters, highlighted her favourite moment of her time with us: ‘Setting up for Kasabian was good fun and towards the end got to hear a bit of the sound check which was cool!’

One of our highly anticipated yearly jobs was the Motorcycle Show Live at the NEC Halls, where we had the pleasure of working alongside Taylex – always a fantastic crew! This year, we went above and beyond by providing a scissor lift driver for the first time to help with the work that needed to be carried out at height. 🚧

And to top it all off, we were part of a history-making event – the first-ever Vitality UK Netball Horizon Series! Our team had an incredible time at AO Manchester, building the England Netball floor for this monumental event. What an absolute privilege it was to be a part of such a milestone! 🏐💥

Jordan Beardsley, who has been with us for years, said this Manchester netball build was his favourite from 2024 ‘the floor builds are always hard work but the camaraderie with the crew is what keeps us going! Then seeing the completed floor ready for the big screen is a nice sight for the work we do.’

What a week it’s been preparing for the Vape Show at the NEC! Our #neonteam was hard at work for the past couple of days setting up the Rifbar stand, with an experienced electrician ensuring all electrics were safely installed. We applied custom graphics to bring the stand to life and assisted with the screen setup for an engaging display. At our NEC unit, we securely stored all Rifbar merchandise and assembled goodie bags, with our team managing daily stock deliveries throughout the show to ensure seamless supply and operations. Started off Friday - at Utilita Arena Birmingham building the floor for British Basketball League Finals - at the First Direct Arena building England Netball floor for the Vitality Netball Nations Cup 2024 On Saturday the team working all day at a lovely new venue Derby Arena for England Hockey Super 6’s competition Sunday it was breakdown time for BBL, Hockey and Netball - 3 teams on the go at the same time Today, 0600 a team started fitting Table Tennis England floor at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.
