We are all very used to the conventional one-day event that has long been the standard. However, while the event itself may be spectacular, the lasting impact of its messages often diminishes rapidly once the attendees leave. The enthusiasm and key takeaways, which are crystal clear on the day, can quickly fade into the background noise of everyday life. We had a great day last week taking part in Tour de SLC to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK - 1.25k has been raised so far!

SLC is 15 this year and is doing 15 challenges to celebrate this.

BA Events & Media was pleased and proud to be able to support the recent train naming in memory of Charley Wallace. Charley uniquely worked across all transport modes - bus, light rail, aviation, heavy rail and latterly rail freight & infrastructure - she will be sorely missed, however her legacy will remain with this rail freight train traversing the UK countryside in her memory.

It was a privilege to be asked to film and document this event.

🌟 Recent events 🌟

It’s been a SUPER busy couple of weeks for TeamBA! Over the last couple of weeks, we have delivered a 100-person away day bringing together front-line staff from across the West Midlands rail industry, a Pavillion fit-out at UKREiiF in Leeds, and a board meeting in public for Transport Focus.

A huge thanks to our suppliers and venues for helping the events run smoothly!

This week we are supporting Infrastructure Matters and their client Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority with their Pavillion at UKREiiF.

Our role was designing and creating an agile space for fringe events, large meetings, 121s and networking. We have also designed and installed all printing, providing AV equipment and videography.

🚃 💚 Community Rail Network 💚 🚃

In light of Community Rail Week, TeamBA would like to give a huge shoutout to the wonderful Community Rail Partnerships we have worked with, including Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership, Worcestershire Community Rail Partnership and heartcrp.

We’ve had the pleasure to work on a range of promotional videos, social media campaigns, events, and celebrations to help them to reach their audience in an engaging and accessible way.

We’re immensely proud to work with CRPs and have seen first-hand the positive impact that they have on bringing communities together and encouraging people to use a greener mode of transport.

We’ve had lots going on behind the scenes recently, here are a few of the things TeamBA have been up to;

🎥 Mike and Luke filmed a series of training videos.
📈 The team completed a data protection training session.
🏟️ Luke visited venues in Newcastle and Liverpool for some upcoming events.
👷🏻‍♂️ Libby and Mike were out on a live construction site, filming a safety training video.
📢 TeamBA helped SLC’s recent business update run smoothly for those in the office and for team members joining remotely.
🔈Our kit is packed and ready to go for two events this week – one in Birmingham, and another in Leeds!

Today Luke and Meg were looking after the start and finish line at the Mad Hare March Sportive. We provided all audio and entertainment, ensuring all riders had a safety briefing before hitting the road and congratulating riders as they crossed the line.

💫Recent Highlights💫
Another busy last couple of weeks for TeamBA, here are a few of the things we’ve been up to;

🐑 Neil became a Freeman of the city of London. The benefits of being a Freeman of the City of London apparently include – the right to drive sheep and cattle over London Bridge, to carry a naked sword in public; and that if the City of London Police finds a freeman drunk and incapable, they will bundle him or her into a taxi and send them home rather than throw them into a cell.

📹 Mike and Ben were out in the countryside capturing footage to showcase the Worcester Rail Trails - a big shoutout to the fantastic presenters, Erin and Esme for doing such an amazing job!

🚉 Mike was out shooting along the Marston Vale line, capturing the excitement of the return of a full train service, and importantly, handing out cakes to celebrate!

🎛️ Luke was audio tech for an SLC event.

🚺 Libby Edited some interviews for a manufacturer as part of their International Women’s Day campaign.

We recently worked closely with Greater Anglia and our partner Rennie Consulting to create a series of training videos to ensure that drivers have the best accessibility training. We were responsible for planning the shoots, managing safety, videography and editing.

💫Highlights from last week 💫

Last week was an excitingly busy week for TeamBA. Here are a few of the things we got up to:

🎬 Mike and Ben were out filming along the Marston Vale rail line, showcasing the fun activities to do along the route. Mike got uncomfortably close for a shot of a swan but left unharmed 😅

👩🏻‍💻Libby designed a presentation to showcase the ‘BA Way’ and started experimenting with designs for some new TeamBA merch.

🎥 We ran a hybrid team meeting for the wider SLC team, ensuring videos and audio were spot on to help engage those joining remotely.
