It's with a broken heart 💔 I write this post John Burrows who created Weardale catering and canny Cheesecakes past away this morning. Only 7 weeks ago I was all excited making your wedding cake and today am devastated.Thank you John for trusting me enough to join you doing weardale catering. You were an amazing larger than life man and friend.All my love goes to his wife Trisha Burrows at this extremely heart breaking time. Rest pain free now ###x

3 course meal for 6 people starter asparagus wrapped in ham with cheese sauce and side salad main tarragon chicken with garlic and herb potatoes, honey glazed carrots and sugar snaps followed by Eaton mess Cheesecake, fresh fruit salad and a Yoda cake all made by myself Tracy x

A busy weekend for us with a very substantial hot buffet including coronation chicken scones, bbq chicken wings, chilli coated King prawns, potato cakes with cream cheese, smoked salmon with dill plus loads more - and, of course, John's famous cheesecakes. Then Tracy's chance to shine with this beautifully decorated cake topped with fresh flowers. A wonderful 70th birthday party. Whilst John is on his jollies What an absolute pleasure it was for me to be asked to cook for the lovely Claire Robinson and her family, Roast pork and Roast beef with all the trimmings followed by trifle.

2 High Teas about to be delivered to a lovely couple as a surprise off there neice, due to them isolating for past 19 months I have been asked to door step them so they are going in boxs instead of on cake stands. Another very satisfied customer from Chester House. Its our customers who make us who we are and when we get so many really lovely people who visit us in Weardale, we make sure they enjoy their stay. A very special treat of one of Tracy's scrumptious Victoria Sandwich was complimentary to a traditional Sunday Roast for 6 people. I bet they didn't go hungry.

To mark the launch of Weardale Catering, we're going to give away a sumptuous High Tea for 2 to one lucky person. Freshly made sandwiches, home-made cakes, cream scones and cheesecakes. Whilst John was beavering away with his cheesecakes at Hartlepool Maritime Market, Tracy was providing a cornucopia of delights for guests visiting Weardale. On Saturday a high tea was delivered to 2 guests, staying in Frosterley and celebrating their silver wedding anniversary. On Sunday a family of 6, staying at the lovely Chester House, tucked into a traditional roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings. Full tums all around. Tracy even found time to do a little repair job as well. What a diamond she is.
High Tea for 3 delivered on time and enjoyed by all. A selection of fresh sandwiches, savoury nibbles, fresh cream scones and, of course, cheesecakes.
Delighted to be able to present and serve a BBQ in the most glorious setting of Chester House in Weardale. Catering for 16 people with traditional burgers, hot dogs, seasoned chicken drumsticks, meat and vegetable skewers all served with a range of salads and condiments followed by generous portions of fresh fruit salad and cheesecakes. Lovey guests, lovely setting, lovely food. What more could a chef ask for?
A busy couple of days at Chester House. A high tea for 8 on Tuesday with a selection of fresh sandwiches. Cakes. slices, scones and cheesecakes from the indomitable Tracy and for dinner tonight Beef Stroganoff, wild rice, honey roasted carrots and green vegetable medley. A vegetarian option of wild mushroom and pepper stroganoff was provided as well.
Our new "Love to Share" heart-shaped cheesecakes at around 1/3k each. Just £6.00 each and we will donate £1.00 for everyone sold to neuroendocrine cancer.
Another 5 very happy guests who are visiting Weardale in a high end holiday let in Westgate. We served them with pan fried asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto Ham smothered with a rich cheese sauce. This was followed by Tarragon Chicken. Thin strips of fresh chicken breast marinated in Tarragon infused wine and cooked with shallots, pepper and cream. Served with garlic and herb sliced potatoes, honey roasted carrots and green vegetable medley with chive and garlic butter. To finish with a selection of artisan cheesecakes.
