This year, Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town has levelled up in the most magical way! For the first time, we’re extending the celebration to 10 days – because we’ve packed in even more amazing things for you to enjoy. From new attractions like a Traditional Carousel, to 10 days of LIVE MUSIC at the Bandstand, there’s something here for everyone to make this holiday season unforgettable!

We’ve crafted a Christmas experience with all ages in mind. Enjoy our sensory-friendly hours each morning, a thoughtful, quieter time perfect for families with sensory sensitivities to explore the Christmas Village in a calming atmosphere. Then, throughout the day, the bandstand comes alive with a variety of performances, from festive tunes to musical acts that’ll have everyone tapping along. 🎶🎠

Our heated Giant Tipis, complete with smoke-free fire pits, are open throughout Christmas Town for you to relax, grab a drink, and soak up the holiday atmosphere. Last year, the Ferris wheel was a huge hit, selling out completely. So, this year we’re making it even more magical by adding a TRADITIONAL CAROUSEL! 🎠 A gorgeous experience for all ages, with side carriages for the littlest riders and no age restrictions on either attraction.

The Bishop Auckland Christmas Town event will return this November and December for its fourth year with a host of festivities.

Bishop Auckland’s market square will be transformed into a ‘magical Christmas town’ for the fourth year this winter.

The Christmas Town event, now in its fourth year, will return after drawing 35,000 visitors over two days last year.

Due to demand it has been extended to run over ten days from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 8.

The Bishop Auckland Christmas Town event will return this November and December for its fourth year with a host of festivities.
