Hi Everyone, it's with great sadness we announce that after 5 years it is the end of an era for us and we will be closing our doors! This isn't a decision we have taken lightly but we have both agreed it is time, we both have too many other commitments to be able to give this business our full commitment now and we've explored many options before coming to this decision. We do want to take this time to thank every single person who's supported our business over the last 5 years, we have loved transforming all your venues, from birthdays, christenings, engagement parties and your weddings. We will be forever grateful for the trust you have put in us over the years and its a journey we will never forget. It's a sad day for us but ultimately a decision we have had to make, We have one last event next week and then our doors will be closing. Thank you again! With Love from Gemma & Gemma! X

Just a quick reminder and a post for our newest page members of the faces & info behind A Gem For Every Occasion 🥰
We're both called Gemma, so that keeps it nice and easy for you! 🤣, We're based in Wolsingham but happy to travel approximately up to an hour away for your event. We decided one day we were going to set up an events business in 2019 and so we did, and despite covid and being shut down to the world for a while we came back fighting to make our business a success! We care about your event just as much as you do! There's no such thing as a silly question with us, and we appreciate every single booking we get as it really does mean a lot when you support a small business 🩷 so welcome to all of our newest page members, and thank you to everyone else who's still here with us! If anyone is planning an event please feel free to get in touch with your ideas!

We aren't usually ones to post negative posts, but can we please remind all of our customers to not rest their glasses/beer bottles etc on top of our large LED Letters, on numerous occasions we're having to deep clean and repaint our letters due to ring marks and spillages all the way down them, not only that you could cause an electrical fault with them too which isnt ideal for us as a business or you as a customer/guest of a customer. Unfortunately there has also now been a couple of occasions where glasses/bottles have also been smashed due to them resting on top and being knocked off and when we've come to collect our letters we're having to pick broken glass out of them! We are making all of our customers aware about it now on the understanding you will respect our products and remember not to place your glasses there, however if this continues we will have no option other than to introduce a damage deposit, we don't want to have to do this so we're trying to give our customers and their guests a polite reminder first. Thank you.

We haven't actually got any proper photos yet of our black chair covers with our sashes, but I've took a couple of screenshots off a video and I'll post the video too! The reason for this is one of us is usually the photo taker... however on this occasion my business partner was very sneaky!!! I couldn't take any photos because I didn't know about this and can't take any credit for the set up. As it was a surprise party ... for me! As you can see as she walks me into the room and i dive back out! 🤣 but yes can we just take a moment to appreciate how elegant the black chair covers look and paired with a lovely subtle satin mint green sash! (Pics in the comments as it won't let me post them)

When you book us for your event, we genuinely care about your day.. Whether that be a birthday party, a christening, baby shower, or your wedding and any other event inbetween.. it really does matter to us! We make every single event personal to us! We enjoy hearing your ideas, helping when your not sure, taking away your stresses and making sure we pay attention to every single detail you tell us! We completely understand that there are bigger companies, with more reviews, more stock etc, but we can absolutely guarantee that no other company will care about your event the way we do... and we're always happy to get stock in for your events as and where we can! We will keep you updated with every single detail, and accommodate to your every need! We really do want your event to go as perfect as you do.. Because we love what we do, and love making your ideas a reality! So please bare that in mind when looking for a company to book with! Hi everyone, as you know we only stock white chair covers at the moment but lately we have had a few messages about supplying black chair covers, we're just popping a post up to ask if you all think it would be worth us investing in some black chair covers so you have the option of if you'd want black or white? Especially for Birthday parties etc as we do know they can look amazing with our sashes. We are excited to announce we will be collaborating with the Bespokeproposals_ team to give you the ultimate packages for your events, some things we are able to offer that bespoke proposals aren't and vice versa, so we've decided to team up on some occasions to be able to give you all what you want, I know we've had a lot of messages lately about the light up numbers for your event which we currently don't stock, however bespoke proposals have just launched their stock of these so we will now be able to offer these to you aswell, (subject to availability) amongst other things like large balloon hoops etc and we're doing the same for them with our stock. You can still book everything through us and get a quote and we will just check the availability with the bespoke proposals team! We're excited to be launching this collaboration to make sure you all get the very best for your events 🫶🥰

Hi Everyone, with our last event of the year complete, our away message is now on as we're breaking up for Christmas! 🎄No messages will be answered during the time as we're having some well earned family time and and we will answer all messages when we return to work on 4th January! From the wedding at Hexham abbey 2.12.23.. we decorated the whole place out but we've received this picture from the bride as they chose to have our Flower wall as their main feature backdrop behind the top table and i must say it just tied in so well and made such a beautiful backdrop for them! 🥰

As you know we love a good before and after post! Pink seems to be the in theme at the moment and our trio cylinder vase centrepieces are proving very popular at the moment too! But yesterday's wedding set up, we provided table cloths, chair covers, chair sashes, table runners, centrepieces, post box, fully stocked candy cart and our Mr & Mrs Light up letters! 🩷 The beautiful backdrop and table skirt was provided by Darlington Chair Cover Hire ###

Hi Everyone, could we just remind you all if you want to make any changes to your event to please give us at least 6 weeks notice for big changes, and at least 2 weeks notice for minor changes, we like to accommodate to your event as best as we can, but we can't always do this if we're not given enough notice.
Also on another note while we are happy to provide specific confectionery in our candy cart, we just want you all to know that we will not provide any that contain nuts due to allergies etc, so if there's something you'd want us to add to the candy cart and it contains nuts unfortunately the answer would be no for that. Thank you.

Yesterday's wedding set up, we provided, chair covers, sashes, Mr & Mrs light up letters, fully stocked candy cart, table plan, postbox and a few little extras too and we also created and provided the centrepieces! And Kelly at Sweet N Personalised done fantastic job by providing the beautiful balloons and cake stand to finish off the look! That's our new work van and logo all sorted so you can see us everywhere we go 🤣 🩷 Also we just wanted to say sorry we haven't been very active on posting but we've been working through a lot of messages and working with a lot of brides and grooms and other clients this year and can't wait to share the pictures with you all of our upcoming events. While we are on posting we'd like to take this opportunity to tell you all with the 6 weeks holidays now upon us we've changed our opening times with messages etc as we seem to be getting a lot of messages after 8/9pm.. so our new opening hours will be 9am - 5pm. We won't be responding to any messages after 5pm on a night as that is our family time..which I'm sure you all understand, but we will get back to you the next working day at 9am 🥰

Just a little FYI post, as we've had a couple of comments about other businesses being a threat..
We just wanted to make it clear that we are all for supporting other businesses 100% as some are with us too.. we're more than happy to work along side other businesses and not see them 'as a threat', we feel like this is an amazing way forward, because something we specialise in, they're happy to bring us in and something they specialise in were happy to bring them in, and we are also more than happy to recommend other businesses to customers in things that we dont provide, you'll be seeing a lot more of us tagging other businesses in our posts in our upcoming events who were working along side! We're all just trying to make a living and we all get more business in by working together! 🩷
