MEET THE POP UP MANAGEMENT TEAM

With so many new followers it felt right to give a short intro into who we are and our roles within Pop Up Global.

Going from left to right…

Fran Kirk is our Development and Operations Manager and works across projects globally. She has worked for Pop Up as a performer since 2019 and joined the core management team in 2023. Fran has the luxury of working from both the UK and Dubai offices - the best of both worlds.

Amy Morris is the Founder and CEO of Pop Up Global. She had a career as a singer on board cruise ships before launching Pop Up back in 2014. Pop Up is her absolute pride and joy!

Dan Clift is our Creative Operations Director and heads up delivery on projects globally as well as our cruise ship accounts. With decades of experience as a performer and cruise ship product delivery, Dan joined the Pop Up management team in 2019. Dan LOVES working in an office full of women 😬

Laura White is our Business Development Director and has been with Pop Up since the very early days, starting her career with us in 2017. With a wealth of experience in both performing and client relationships, Laura is based out in our Dubai office but works on global accounts.

Shelley Ross has the best title in the team, our Chief Happiness and Casting Officer. Shelley finished an unbelievable career performing at sea and joined the Pop Up team as a performer in 2018. By 2019 Shelley joined the core management team and she has been spreading joy ever since.

It’s cliche to say, but we truly are a family. We spend our working hours together and then actively chose to spend our time out of work together too. We laugh until we cry, we dream really big and we work as a team every day to make these dreams a reality. And the best part is, we have fun whilst we do it.

You will see these five faces a lot when you work with Pop Up as well as our fab team of creatives and the rest of our office team (and the dogs of course!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US - POP TURNS NINE

Nine years ago today launched Pop Up and what a journey it’s been since. With offices in the UK and Dubai and contracts on board cruise ships, across the Middle East and most recently in the Maldives (😱) it has certainly been an incredible nine years.

We wouldn’t be what we are today without our incredible family and community of performers and creatives and for that we want to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you.

When Amy set up the company in 2014, the culture and the working environment was her number one priority. Nine years on, this still stands and the experiences and feedback our performers share with us cements this success over and over again.

There will be plenty of iconic footage dropping on instagram over the next couple of weeks from the 5 videographers we had on site (😅) but we just wanted to take this opportunity to share our gratitude.

We knew the impact this would have on the audience, the emotion it would evoke in numbers such as this one and the memories it would therefore create for the passengers on their cruise. Ultimately, it’s these moments that keep people coming back time and time again. We wanted passengers to leave the theatre with goosebumps and tears in their eyes - something that is achievable when you bring 10 stunning voices like this together. We also wanted to ensure that all cast members were paid equally. By giving each individual the same role on board, this was possible. Enjoy 🫶🏼
