𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝘄

We're looking for someone to develop a digital platform (possibly an app or WhatsApp and website resource) that maps and connects people to the common land, green spaces, and places to collect food - which currently exist in a patchwork across Blackpool.

We want to consider Blackpool as whole, an urban farm of sorts.

As we are an arts organisation, we would like this to be well designed and illustrated, and ideally have a creative collaboration as an approach.

We believe there are two elements to this brief.

1. A technical role – App/Website/WhatsApp development and content management system

2. A digital creative – Someone who can creatively respond to the application framework and information put on it by the public

Was so lovely to see this Art Project come to fruition (pun intended), from photographing the ideas of producing something for the community within Grange area. This has been an enjoyable experience for all, and now there is a art installation, light up ice-cream cart. Well-done all LeftCoast At the grange Blackpool, fabulous outcome! 🍏🍦

People Need People

Communication is key in my practice, however it the cause and intent which drives my passion over and above the photograph itself. It is important for me to capture passion and connections when photographing people, leading to story telling. By immersing myself into projects which allow me to gain deeper insight and understanding of my subjects and in turn provide more meaningful imagery linked to getting to know what I am photographing.

My core subjects are focused around people and place, I am passionate about my home town of Blackpool and if by showing the people in and around the area, enhances the way that others see or judge Blackpool then this would be extremely rewarding to both me and my practice.
