Good, wet, cold and fun times in the Dolomites.
Memories Captured Beautifully - iPhone Photography Courses
Good, wet, cold and fun times in the Dolomites.
Few weeks ago I have tagged along & for the newest Fuji camera promo shoot. Not wanting to get between them and the awesome and , who were models for the day, I have only snapped a couple of iPhone images.
Ever since then both Cole & myself been talking about how incredible it would be to come back to this incredible place and actually host a workshop there. So we’re coming back. We’re hosing Roadie Workshop at Muralla Roja in Spain. If you like these few snaps, imagine what you could create with a proper camera there. Also, side note - it’s not a place you could just show up and shoot. You need to go over few ( expensive ) obstacles. So it’s once in a lifetime opportunity. DM me or for details.
It’s been nearly 6 years since and myself hosted the first ever Roadie Workshop in Iceland. It meant to be a one off adventure , yet somehow couple of years, 10s of events, hundreds of attendees & more than few countries later, the event is still going strong. I’m pretty sure we decided to host the 2nd edition mainly because we both wanted to come back to drive those white Land Rovers through every pothole, small river or dirt road in Iceland.
——
Cole is back in Iceland today to host another edition there, which obviously makes me a little sad for not being there. I freaking miss Iceland. But we’re rejoining forces in a couple of weeks in Dolomites, so if you’d like to join us simply DM . It will be fun. I promise.
iPhonning for last week.
I have recently changed the way I create content for Wooden Banana and 95% of it is now done with my phone. It’s…liberating. I have taken more images in the last month than in the previous 12 months. If you need help polishing up your iPhone skills check my online course.
We live in the world where you can create an image like this one with a couple of prompts & AI. It will be realistic, but it will never be real.
AI might be able to generate the pixels that look the same as the pixels from your camera, but it cannot replace the feeling. It cannot replace the anticipation of the 5am morning drive to the sunrise spot, the bite of the cold wind, the smell of the forest. AI generated turquoise water will never be the same as the turquoise water you can row the boat in. AI will never leave you breathless the way standing on top of the mountains can.
Dolomites is one of those places in the world that could have been AI generated. It’s so breathtaking it actually feels unreal.
Thankfully, it’s not.
Together with & we’re going there again in May for another edition of Roadie Workshop. We just can’t get enough of the place. Join us and let this incredible place re-assure you that AI is just an advanced computer software that will never beat the mother nature.

These were taken with iPhone ( like 99% of my non-work photos ). Want to learn how. Link in bio.
There are easier places to love than Bangladesh, but it remains one of those countries I want to re-visit the most.
Lots of interesting things happen when Cole from and myself host Roadie Workshops in Dolomites. We drive to the top of the mountains, we hike, row boats, get up at 4.30am, eat gelato for breakfast and drink 10s of cups of expressos. But most of all we take photos in some epic locations.
We’re going there again in May. It will be awesome, it always is. Join us - dm for details.
It was nearly 29C in some places in Spain yesterday.
Slightly warmer than when I shot this ( probably coldest ) elopement in Iceland few years ago.

Following new regime, I’m re-posting one of my favourite photos ever.
You might have seen it here before, so I’ll give you a chance to have a guess which part of the world was this taken in.
Last few photos taken with my old iPhone 11, before it died in the turquoise waters of Arabian Sea.
Also, this is a reminder that you don’t need the newest camera or phone to take good images - my iPhone photography course goes through all the basics - from composition to editing and it’s only a couple of dollars. Link in bio.
Lost in the desert. Wahabi Sands - most enjoyable 40km of driving ever.
So it seems that the last time I posted a proper wedding photo on IG was 15 months ago! I’m still here though, shooting weddings, and I have spent most of last year at my beloved - chasing light, climbing some rocks and most of all hanging out with some incredible people.
My recent trips re-ignited my love for photography, which is always good after crazy season of shooting and flying, so expect this account to become a mix of my wedding, travel & iphone photography. At least that’s the plan, because let’s be honest - social media is a love / hate kind of relationship.
Nizwa. Oman. My Girls ( the big one with smashed ankle, that turned out to be infected ). Good times.
Going on vacation this summer? Make sure your photos are as good as your memories. Click the link in bio and master your iPhone photography skills. It’s easier than you think ( and cheaper ).
iPhone sneak peeks from a wedding? Why not, it’s pretty incredible what you can do with a phone these days. Callie and Manuel got married last Saturday, and yes I had my professional cameras with me as well. Work is pretty much the only time when I use my big cameras. Everything else, my family, my travels, my whole life is shot on my phone. So, if you feel like your own photos are not as good as you’d like them to be, the good news is that you don’t need a better camera. You need skills. Let me teach you. $29 iPhone photography course. I teach powerful iPhone photography, so you don have to waste money on expensive cameras.
My daughter’s reaction when I told her some people think the only way to take good photos is to spend 1000s on expensive gear they have no idea how to use ;-)
You don’t need better camera, you need skills. Improve yours. You know where to click.
Lights on. Lights off. Blur is a very powerful tool in iPhone photo editing, and it’s actually pretty easy to use.
Don’t know how? Let me teach you.
