Here is a little teaser video I created for CDA - Claire Young Dance Academy while shooting their show BTS film. If any dance/performing arts schools are interested in a BTS film to showcase how their amazing events are put together, get in touch.

Amy Mae

A huge thank you to Amy Mae from TTM Management for helping me shoot a spec film to showcase a high key lighting project that could be used by #fashion or #cosmetic brands. Direction for the model was to create a fun edgy vibe and Amy smashed it. I wanted soft light and the Lastolite scrim and the GODOX SL lights were the perfect combination. All shot on handheld Canon UK C70 rig and then on the Canon C70 on DJI Ronin RS3 Pro gimbal with TILTA Advanced Ring. With a Sigma 18-35mm lens it was important not to get the edges of the backdrop in the frame so this meant working closely with the model to understand the restrictions. #cosmeticbrand #fashion #fashionfilm #model #modellife #modelling #videography #videoproduction #filmmaking #creator #creative #beautybrand #newcastlemodel #adagency #creativeadvertising #creativeagency

Amelia

A huge thank you to Amelia from TTM Management for helping me shoot a spec film to showcase a high key lighting project that could be used by fashion or cosmetic brands. Well aware the shots would need more variation but it was great to create a high key look and capture a model showcasing their skill set. Direction for the model was to create a fun edgy vibe and I think Amelia captured it perfectly. Aswell as a high key look it was very important for me to not get specular highlights. My Story

Who Am I?

My name is Paul Martin, and I am a full-time Dance, Fashion, and Commercial Photographer/Videographer.

Where Am I Located?

I live in Blyth, Northumberland.

What Did I Do Before Photography and Video?

I developed a strong affinity for the outdoors and sport at an early age. This affinity for sport pushed me to complete a Sports Science degree at Bedford University in 2002.

Despite maintaining a keen interest in sport, after university, I decided a career in the field was something I no longer wanted to pursue. During this transitional period in my life, I ended up working for several companies focused on the customer services sector. After performing and enjoying many aspects of these roles, I then began to reconsider my career path and in late 2003 landed a position as a Recruitment Specialist, a job I would perform over the next ten years.

When Did I Start My Photography and Video Journey?

In 2014 I picked up a camera for the first time, and I haven’t looked back since.

When Did I Start My Business, Centre Stage?

2016.

What Is My Shooting Style?

My shooting style is influenced by cinema and editorial photography. As well as manipulating light to craft shapes, I love the process of enhancing these features in Adobe software to add more depth and intrigue.
