Photographer and videographer based in the central belt of Scotland. Hello, and thanks for visiting my site. Thanks again
Phil Mc
I'm Phil McIntosh, a photographer and videographer based in the central belt of Scotland. Photography has been a passion of mine for many years and I rarely leave the house without my camera. I never know where my next journey might take me and I am keen to show the beauty and the landscapes of the area I'm proud to call my adopted home. Whilst I primarily specialise in Landscape photography I'm k
een to start introducing a human element to my shots and I'm currently experimenting with portrait photography. I also deliver drone and video work and have supplied footage to Reuters, World Economic Forum, Local Authorities in Scotland and my work has featured on the Impossible Engineering TV show. If you think I could help in delivering your creative vision or next project, please get in touch. Or if you would like to buy any of my work let me know.

Rosebank Whisky - a sleeping giant awakens. Long exposure of the restored Distillery in Falkirk - home of lowland single malt. Bumped into a woman who stated she had an unopened bottle and a small cask she acquired from its previous life, I suggested she might want to get them valued!

Beaver Supermoon over Linlithgow Palace - it was smaller than I hoped for by the time it got over the palace so didn't go for multiple exposures to get the detail showing and just went for one long exposure to get a star burst of light. I tried the image without the foliage but liked how it framed the shot 📷🏴

One of the statues that form "6 Times" an art installation created by Antony Gormley - comprising of six life-sized figures positioned along the Water of Leith, between the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the sea. This one can be found near the steps that lead down from the National Gallery and stands opposite the AIDS Life Tribute bench.

The Kelpies Huts - think this is the first time that I've managed to get all the lights on together 🤣 Popped down tonight after seeing them all lit up from the motorway.

The Kelpies (it's been a while 😉) - 3 minute long exposure. *Honest edit note - power cables removed using one click removal, left the tower 🗼 but that was then removed with generative fill

The Kelpies Huts - 1 minute exposure giving a nice smooth texture to the water and a blurry effect on the trees blowing in the wind. - all helps to make the subject stand out. I also used this as an opportunity to use the new 1 click remove for cables and wires in and have to say I was pretty impressed with the results.

To Bo’nessians, Bo’ness without its Fair would today seem inconceivable as Bo’ness without the River Forth or Bo’ness without its braes, yet at one time no self respecting person would have anything to do with the annual event, which is now the largest and most spectacular of its kind in the country. Unlike most of Scotland’s summer celebrations in towns throughout the Borders and Lowlands, which can trace origins to the traditional riding of the marches ceremonies or to old cattle fairs, Bo’ness Fair began, as one witness of the time described it, “as a drunken orgy” among the coal miners of the district. - taken from the fair website.
