After my last post I was really touched by some of the wonderful comments that you left and it got me thinking...

"Did this shoot go well BECAUSE I thought I wasn't good?”

I've thought for years that nerves are a sign of weakness or inability, like you don't know what you're doing and that you're a fraud.

But it's the total opposite!!!!!

Nerves. Are. Good!

You have nerves because you care deeply about what you are about to do! That forces you to analyse and accept the failings, learn and grow.

Whilst thinking on this post, an area I fall short in is focusing on the groom! Unless it's the speeches or a quick 15 minutes with them before the bride enters, I struggle to balance the weight sometimes. It's their day too!

Here's to grooms, I loved being one and although I HATE having pictures taken of myself, my wedding photos mean so much to me, to see myself happy and proud, gives me a boost even today.

I hope I can bring that same self appreciation to my grooms aswel!

I know I promised to be better at social media and try to share more and be consistent, but it's been a real challenging.

"Is my work good?” "am I good?" "Should I just jack it in?"

Covid has put the wedding industry on its knees and that gloom can really affect your subjective outlook on your own work.

Covid 19 rocked my confidence and after not shooting any photography for over a year, getting back out, I thought would be a real challenge.

but omg I could not of been MORE WRONG!!

Back in May I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Meg and Mike's engagement shoot and I am just so happy with the results! I changed parts of my approach, which matched with a drop in confidence might of spelled disaster, but it was anything but.

It was invigorating, enlightening, challenging. It was amazing.

The wind didn't play ball, the sun keep taunting but we worked with it and made some real post-covid (well, lockdown) magic🌟

I am so thankful for all my couples, who through all of this remain the reason why I absolutely LOVE what I do ❤️

So guys, it's been 6 months since I last posted 😭
Covid 19 has meant massive changes in our lives, adjusting to new norms. Losing weddings this year has been heartbreaking and sometimes, when you don't shoot for a while the creative doubt can set in, making you wonder if you should keep pushing.

We must keep going! To see our loved ones, to be with our families and our friends and this is what inspires me to keep shooting♥️

So, it's time to get busy sharing! 🤞 Hoping to post twice a week with weddings, portraits and landscapes to start building towards an amazing 2021/2022!

Wow! What an amazing shoot we had for Debi and Rich's engagement session.
The weather was horrendous, but that didnt stop these two, hey, we even think it added more to the magic of the shoot!
