I was selected at random this week by a lady who needed funeral flowers for her dad , she arrived from Bermuda on Tuesday and stumbled across my page and rang me … this was a funeral in Liverpool for Friday , but as we got chatting it turned out her dad used to be a landlord in Horwich 50 years ago … without prompting I asked if his name was Austin …. Imagine her shock when i was right .. I don’t know how I knew but I just did… he ran the Jolly Crofters 50 years ago and I remember him being a friend of my grandad… small world , I feel she was guided to my page so sometimes things are just meant to be and nice that I had a personal connection 🙏🏻 also made an anchor in favourite rugby team colours , flowers for two different salons and a large artificial vase to complement a fabulous sitting room … all in all a good week so Thankyou as always for choosing me ( even if it’s by chance ) it’s always appreciated x

Well that’s a wrap for another Mother’s Day ticked off my list , my 46th one as a working florist!crikey I must be old 😂 …so wishing all mums who are… who could have been, should have been , the step mums , the foster mums … the ones who step in to be mum and the mums no longer with us … all the thoughts are there today …
Also remembering Margaret and also Valerie who I had the honour of providing flowers for their funerals this week … two beautiful ladies who I have known a long time … my thoughts are with both families who will be feeling the loss ever more today .

I was asked to make a very poignant tribute this week … to recreate a GMP female officers hat … tricky to create the brim but I managed to carve it and maintain the stability .. secured into a bed of beautiful spring flowers sent with thought and made with love .. 🙏🏻 some stunning red Naomi roses for a diamond wedding anniversary ( 60 years 😳amazing) and boxed arrangements in classic whites and greens which never date .. thankyou for keeping me busy again this week .. so much appreciated … now fully booked from the 26th-2ndApril 🙏🏻

A nice little table scape of candelabras , flowers and tea lights supplied for a gorgeous young lady’s 21st in gold and cream, a 60th birthday arrangement which included a “ Phoenix sun catcher”… and flowers in soft spring colours for a treasured husband and Dad …as always my thoughts are with the families .. thankyou as always for the orders this week , (some from Hong Kong and also New Zealand ).. amazing really 🙏🏻🧡

A request this week for a “ fluffy chicken” with a meaning that runs deep in this particular families history … made for a rather inspirational young man who raised so much money for charity during his all too short and challenging life … bright and colourful flowers were the order of the day to celebrate him..🐥
Another request to include a treasured trumpet for a musician and a Robin, which also had a significant meaning … and daffodils and mixed flowers to say goodbye mum… all in all a sad week where flowers again say what needs to be said 🧡 thankyou again for ordering with me 🙏🏻

But nothing sends a message quite like carefully selected flowers chosen with thought , every piece is made different and it’s why I don’t like to work from pictures … each has to be unique to the person concerned … Thankyou again for the orders sent my way .. and the trust , it’s so much appreciated 🙏🏻

A couple of trips up to Oulton Hall this weekend to deliver and set up the florals for the wedding of Anne Marie to Peter … such a special day💕 white orchids and roses in abundance with selected foliages including myrtle and rosemary, both with special and specific meanings .. those who know this lovely couple and their history will wish them nothing but joy and happiness as they start this new chapter together… it meant so much to me to be asked to create flowers for this special day as I’ve been part of other important occasions for the family over the years and to get to this day is extremely special 💕 congratulations to you both … and Thankyou for choosing me to do your flowers🙏🏻x

Back from a nice few days in Madeira and hitting the ground running on Monday with a full order book so the week has gone before I could blink .. Thankyou for all the work sent my way .. it’s much appreciated , although most of it has been for sad occasions so my thoughts are with all those families this week 🙏🏻
I’d like to say I came back refreshed but unfortunately I came down with food poisoning for the last few days of my break .. and being a bit new to this holiday malarkey wasn’t prepared for this … live and learn .. next time I pack medication 🙏🏻thanks to my wonderful travel companion Sylvia for looking after me xx

It’s been a hard January so far for so many people … I seem to have been non stop with funeral work , a 2D watering can design for a gentleman who loved his garden… “ The Wee Man” made for a local entertainer known to many by that title… pastels for a lovely local lady , and no matter what the weather threw at me this week I managed to get everything delivered on time … my thoughts are with every family that has put their trust in me , it’s always humbling 🙏🏻
I will be taking a break from the 17th -26th to recharge as I ended up working over the Christmas period …. Any orders or enquiries can be inboxed to me and I will pick the up x

So that’s a wrap! 2024 is almost over for me ..the month of December goes by in a blur … it’s been especially hard this year due to personal issues but the door wreaths are hung, the table centrepieces are in place, gift flowers have all been delivered , so many funerals done … too many 😔 and another Robin made which winged it’s way to Liverpool as a special tribute … Thankyou for the incredible support in ordering with me this year …I am now closed ( apart from two funerals booked in by prior arrangement) till the 6th January … any orders for after this date can be prebooked by message.
Thankyou to the special friends who have checked in on me and kept me going… not enough words … you know who you are ❤️

A few pieces from the last week or so.. mainly funeral work and my thoughts as always are with the many families I have dealt with over the last two weeks 💜 Christmas is rapidly gaining on us and I’m knee deep in wreath work .. unable to take any more door wreath orders at the moment until I’ve caught up , will keep updating 🙏🏻
