I was inspired to write this post after seeing someone on LinkedIn write a post about her brother’s amazing steampunk wedding…

Perhaps as I’m reading The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins it’s inspired me to write this post.

The reason I created the farm was to make a venue which was deliberately different.

I have never been a fan of cookie-cutter anything. Weddings, parties, corporate events, and celebrations of life shouldn’t feel like they’ve come off a conveyor belt - they should feel like you.

That’s why I was determined to build a place where individuality shines.

A place where:

- Quirky elements of recycling, reuse, llamas wearing bow ties, farm life would be celebrated.
- Couples can walk down the aisle surrounded by their quirks, passions, and people they love—no “wedding rulebook” in sight.
- Teams can ditch the grey boardrooms and come together in a space that inspires creativity, connection, and innovation.
- Families can honor their loved ones with joy, laughter, and stories in a truly personal Celebration of Life.
- Parties are designed to be as unique as the people throwing them—because why settle for anything less?

I love customers who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo, for those who know that ‘tradition’ is only worth following if it means something to you, and for those who believe that life’s milestones should be celebrated unapologetically.

And yes, it’s a farm. But it’s not your average farm. Think llamas (in bowties if you fancy), interactive feasts, quirky spaces, and a team that loves saying “YES” to the wildest ideas.

We’ve learned that when people lean into their uniqueness, magic happens. Memories are made. Stories are told. And the moments? They’re unforgettable.

So I say LET THEM have their traditions and their people pleasing ways and the should’s and it’s the done thing…

I say LET ME be bold, be authentic, and celebrate life my way. That’s what we’re all about.

One of the insights we gained early on was that many couples were buying beautiful décor for their big day with no plan for it afterward. And so, our Prop Shed was born!🎉 Now, this dedicated space is filled with a wonderful array of décor donated by past couples – from elegant vases to chair ties, candles to rustic log slices, and so much more. This "Aladdin’s Cave" of décor is completely free for you to explore and use! Feel free to select as much or as little as you’d like to make your day truly unique. Our passion for sustainability is fuelled by this community spirit. By sharing these resources, we reduce waste and empower couples to create their dream day without needing to buy new items, all while saving on costs. Each wedding now contributes to a greener planet – and that’s a legacy we’re proud to be part of!♻️

Our Story

The Wellbeing Farm certainly isn’t an ordinary wedding venue. Situated in the picturesque moorlands of Bolton, Greater Manchester; we specialise in relaxed, fun, and quirky weddings. Weddings where everything from the food, to the styling, to the entertainment, can be tailored to suit you. We certainly don’t do cookie cutter weddings, and we ensure this by making our farm exclusive hire, so your special day is fully yours.

Does the idea of tailoring a wedding completely around you sound daunting? It’s not. We’re there every single step of the way on your wedding journey. Need to talk about the food options on the day? Have a meeting with us. Need décor for the wedding barn? Take a look in our prop shed. A week before the wedding and you’re feeling nervous? Come in for a cup of tea and a chat. No task is too big, or too small, for us here at The Wellbeing Farm.

We’re the perfect country chic venue for you to create a unique wedding experience that will reflect your personalities. We can hold up to 170 guests for the ceremony, and up to 300 for the evening reception. Amenities on the farm include: a tipi, a fire-pit, a bo***ir, two locations licensed for weddings, two indoor bars, and an outdoor bar too! Another major attraction is the wildlife on the farm, you’ll never be more than 10 seconds from a picture with one of our friendly llamas, alpacas or donkeys.

Not getting married? No problem! We’re a multi-purpose venue, with the facilities to hold birthday parties, corporate parties, bar/bat mitzahs and much more!
