A little January update and a post to say a big thank you to everyone who has visited us since we reopened at the start of last week. January is typically a quiet month for us but you lovely lot have kept us busy so far. We're working away to get the shop restocked with lovely products and we've got some new and exciting things to show you 💜

Retail is a funny old business, as soon as Christmas is over we're onto planning Valentine's and Mother's day, then it's wedding season, and before you know it we're ordering Christmas stock again! So it's good to stop sometimes and appreciate where you're at right now. We're so grateful for our loyal customers and the support of the community we've built here at Flowersmiths 💜

January is often our busiest month of the year for wedding enquiries, with couples starting to plan for their big day once the rush of Christmas is over. If you would like Flowersmiths to provide flowers for your wedding day, please drop us a message to arrange a consultation. The flower stand is empty, the lights are off and we are now all closed up for Christmas 2024. A huge thank you to everyone who has visited us during this festive period, you've certainly kept us busy. We are closed now until 30th/31st and then we're taking a break in the new year until the 7th January.

That's a wrap for Christmas wreaths in 2024. Thank you so much to everyone who has ordered this year, you've kept us super busy. We're now onto fresh flower bouquets, table displays and vase arrangements - if you would like to order for collection or delivery right up until Christmas Eve, please head to our website or call us on 01204 697924. We always sell out by Christmas Eve so we recommend ordering early on to avoid disappointment 💜

We're open every day up until Christmas Eve including Sunday, we have fresh deliveries of flowers coming every couple of days so we've lots to choose from 💜

Our hands are shredded and I'm finding pine needles in my underwear (how does it get there?!), we're up to our eyeballs in wreath making so that means it must be December!

As usual, we aim to have a selection ready to choose from in the shop but we don't always manage to keep up with demand, so best to preorder if you know you would like one 💜

Christmas day is 6 weeks away and Flowersmiths is festive wonderland, we're full to bursting with Christmas gifts, decorations, cards and lots more.

A quick reminder that wherever possible, please try to support your local businesses this festive season. It's been a super tough year for us all and we do need your support to keep going. Spending your money locally helps your local economy, supports small high streets and communities (which boosts your house values!) and is a more sustainable way to shop - that's got to be worth a trip to your local shops? And if you prefer to shop online, maybe seek out the websites of your local businesses as lots offer delivery or click and collect 💜

One of my absolute favourite parts of being a florist is receiving the professional photographs of a wedding we've created flowers for, and this was no exception! We love this orgeous photo of Zoë and David's wedding who married in Liverpool earlier this year. They choose a stunning colour palette which made our job an absolute joy. Whilst it's still very much autumn in our bouquets, our shop has been transformed this week into a Christmas wonderland. We're now full to bursting with beautiful baubles, decorations, Christmas gifts and cards for anyone who's already feeling in the festive spirit 💜
