How lovely to be able to squeeze in a late January date for & in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. This couple only got engaged in October, and have said, “let’s go for it!” Wasting no time in organising their ceremony.

We always say that it’s Your Day, Your Way. And this couple are certainly doing that. I’m also looking forward to visiting for the first time since it became a bespoke wedding venue.

Thanks guys! Our planning is already underway!

The big night is tonight! The 2024. I am so thrilled to be nominated in the Celebrant of the Year category. Especially as this nomination is entirely based on votes from couples whom I married between last August and this July. That alone means the world to me. 🌍

It’s less than 2 and a half years since I did my first legal wedding and just over a year and a half since I began conducting regular ceremonies. And I believe this nomination is testament to the care and professionalism I aim to provide to all my couples, their scripts and ceremonies.

I am up against fourteen other talented celebrants, including my pals and so, competition is fierce!

I’m sadly unable to attend tonight’s awards in person, but will be keeping an eye on the socials for any news. 👀

Good luck to all the nominees and to all of my supplier pals who have been nominated in their respective categories. 🤝

Happy November! Its beginning to quieten down for me on the ceremony front now as we head into winter. However, it’s definitely quality over quantity when it comes to my three this month.

It all begins tomorrow with my first Fife wedding, as I travel to the in Kirkcaldy for the wedding of Kat and Michael.

On the 16th, it’s my first visit of the year (ridiculously!) to my happy place - in Howwood to marry Vanessa and Steven.

And no month at the moment is complete without a trip to East Kilbride. Emma and Steven’s big day will be my FIFTH there this year.

Lots of planning for these weddings for three outstanding couples, and I look forward to all of them.

For brides and grooms to be, I’ll also be making a sneaky appearance in Motherwell next Wed night (6th Nov) between 6 and 8 for the wedding show! Please pop along to say hello and get the lowdown on all things Humanist wedding ceremonies.

I always appreciate when couples take the time to leave a five star review. But doing so at 2.26am after your wedding is above and beyond! 😆

Thank you Mark and Jemma. 😍 A lovely ceremony featuring a handfasting 🪢 and a band warming where we passed their rings around the guests, who all warmed them with love and well wishes for this great couple.

What an incredible honour to have been asked to conduct the ceremony for this lady and her new husband on Friday in Troon.
shields.yoga and I were ex-radio colleagues and have been pals for (we worked out) well over 15 years now! The ceremony for her and was just gorgeous. And great fun too!

Anyone who knows me will tell you I love a map. 🗺️So, here is a map of my venues for 2025. (So far!)

I’ve always been a geek for roads and travelling, and part of the appeal of being a celebrant is to be able to explore our beautiful country and visit venues and areas I’ve never experienced before. 🤓 🚘 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

29 venues in total so far - some of which I will visit more than once. 19 of these are either completely new to me or, ones I’ve been to but have yet to conduct a legal wedding ceremony at. Hopefully I’ll be adding a few more dots to it as the months progress. 💒

Can any of my 2025 couples spot their venue on my map? I’ve also done a West of Scotland zoom in as that’s where most of them will be. 🔎🔍
