Down the Rabbit Hole is a FREE interactive experience at Palace Court Theatre Saturday 13 May!

Today is the start of Alice in Spring, so get ready for a fun filled weekend. We have an exciting addition to Down the Rabbit Hole! At Picnic Park Deli, next to Lower Gardens, there will be amazing makeup artists to do face painting for FREE, turning you into a true wonderland character.

The fun doesn't stop there, you will see a trail of White Rabbits leading you Down the Rabbit Hole. Follow them to reveal a transformative wonderland. Don't be late... the event is open from 11am - 4pm today!

When you fall Down the Rabbit Hole on Saturday 13th May, you will be transported into the wonderful world of wonderland. To fully transform yourself into a Wonderland resident, you can get your face painted by our talented makeup artists for FREE. You can choose from all your favourite characters: Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts, White Rabbit, and Mad Hatter. We’ll see you all at Palace Court Theatre, from 11am – 4pm on Saturday 13th May.

Step into the Mad Hatter’s tea party with a creative twist.

With this activity you will be able to unleash your creativity and draw out your favourite tea party treats straight onto the tea party table. As the day progresses, the table will be full of delicious food that you wish would come to life.

When you arrive at Down the Rabbit Hole you have a special task to help the White Rabbit find all his pocket watches so he can never be late again.

Hidden in each of the four rooms are the White Rabbit’s pocket watches. If you succeed in finding all of them, you will win a special prize. Along your journey through the rabbit hole there are many activities for you to complete in order to progress into the next room.

One of the very exciting activities that you and your children can experience together at Down the Rabbit Hole is the Queen of Hearts Garden Croquet! Complete the croquet course to go through to the next adventure. But make sure the Queen of Hearts doesn’t catch you cheating … she may yell “Off with their heads!”. Down the Rabbit Hole is part of Alice in Spring, which is a FREE, family friendly wonderland that returns to the streets of Bournemouth Town Centre for one weekend only on 13th and 14th May 2023.

This fascinating themed event will transform the town into an immersive, interactive wonderland for all ages! Alice in Spring, led by the Events Management team at Arts University Bournemouth, showcases live street theatre performances from internationally renowned artists and performers, magical immersive experiences, family fun activities and much more! This event is accessible for all.

Using your smartphone and your imagination, try to catch the rabbit by finding Alice themed clues in multiple venue and shop windows, in our interactive trail. Don’t be late, amazing prizes are to be won!

Down the Rabbit Hole is an interactive experience that transports you into another world. This FREE, family friendly adventure will send you on the journey through the topsy-turvy likes of Wonderland.

This transformative experience takes place at Palace Court Theatre in Bournemouth town centre on Saturday 13th May from 11am until 4pm.

Upon arrival, you have a special task to help the White Rabbit find all his pocket watches so he can never be late again. If you succeed in this challenge, you will win a special prize. Along your journey, there will be magical photo opportunities with transformative backdrops and lively character interactions to help guide you throughout the experience. You and your children will be able to play croquet in the Queen of Hearts gardens and draw in the forest to create the most delicious looking tea party. We look forward to seeing you there!
