In January we celebrated Isla-Rose’s naming ceremony and 1st birthday! Mummy and daddy went to so much effort to give her a fantastic party, and a great time was had by all. Welcome to the world, beautiful Isla-Rose 💕🦢🦄🎂

Thank you to everyone who supported my celebrant business in 2024! To all the gorgeous couples who asked me to conduct their wedding ceremonies 💒 to all the families who asked me to welcome their new babies into the world 👶 and to all the Funeral Directors who recommended me to support their grieving families. Every single ceremony I write is bespoke, and to stand in front of 100’s of people to deliver it is always such an honour. I feel privileged to be a celebrant and I look forward to writing and delivering many more ceremonies in 2025 🌸🤍

Happy New Year! Here’s hoping for a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2025 to you all 🥳

We lost an acting legend, Dame Maggie Smith this week. She has graced our screens and stages with countless interesting and wonderful roles; it would be hard to pick one as her best. She was a household name for almost 60 years and won numerous awards for her acting and performances along the way. She has definitely earned her place in British history. Rest in peace, Dame Maggie 🩷 🏆🎬🎭 🎥

Such a stunning wedding at Christchurch Harbour Hotel, and my first handfasting ceremony too! The bride picked all the wild flora herself and mum of the bride decorated the venue with it. Don’t the lampshades look beautiful and I am in love with the bride’s dress 👰‍♀️ 🤵 💖 🩵 Grazing in the Grass was there exit song, so they obviously have great taste in music 🎶 too 💒

After a funeral service, when the arrangements and initial support have concluded, it's natural for people to face a period of adjustment and transition. How can you navigate this time?

💛Allow Yourself to Grieve
Understand that grief is a natural and individual process. Allow yourself to feel and express your emotions without judgment.

💛Seek Support
Reach out to family, friends, or a support group for comfort and companionship. Share your feelings and memories of your loved one with others who understand and empathise with what you're going through.

💛Maintain Self-Care
Take care of your physical and emotional well-being. Get enough rest, eat nourishing foods, engage in regular exercise, and practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation.

💛Create a Support Network
Surround yourself with supportive individuals who can offer practical help and emotional support. Delegate tasks or responsibilities as needed, and don't hesitate to ask for assistance when you need it.

💛Keep Busy, but Allow Downtime
Engage in activities that bring you comfort and joy, whether it's spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies, or immersing yourself in work or volunteer activities. However, also allow yourself quiet moments of reflection and solitude when needed.

💛Set Realistic Expectations
Understand that the grieving process takes time and that healing doesn't happen overnight. Be patient with yourself and set realistic expectations for your recovery journey.

💛Stay Connected
Stay connected with your support network and continue to reach out for help and companionship as needed. Remember that you're not alone in your grief, and there are people who care about you and want to support you through this difficult time.

By taking care of yourself, seeking support, and finding meaningful ways to remember your loved one, you can navigate the period after a funeral with strength and resilience.

About me

Hello, I’m Louise and I am an experienced wedding and funeral Celebrant with a passion for creating and delivering bespoke services for all life's celebrations and ceremonies; weddings, funerals and namings.

What is a wedding Celebrant?

When you’re planning a wedding you’re no longer restricted to a church, Registry Office or using a Registrar in a licensed venue.

Using a wedding Celebrant for your special day means that you can have whatever you want, wherever you want, however you want. You can have your ceremony at whatever time of day you like; how romantic would it be to get married by candlelit, or at sunrise or sunset. Your choice of location is limitless; on a beach, in your garden, in a woodland area or a field, on the top of a mountain, abroad, or on board a boat for example.
