This is an interesting little read and one we also understand at Little Munchkins… let’s keep encouraging our young people with their interests what ever they are, they or you won’t ever regret it! 🥰
‘Almost 70 percent of young people participating in sports will quit by the time they’re 13 years old. 70 percent! And, what’s worse, they’ll quit permanently.’
As children become teenagers, their priorities change, as well as facing pressure to pare down their interests and focus on school they’re going through major physical, emotional and social changes, which actively discourages some youths from continuing with clubs , trying new things or just participating for fun.
We are super proud of all of our circus students who have not fallen into the above statistic!
Our coaches at GEMS will promise to continue to do our best to support our teenagers by:
- providing positive coaching
- making our classes enjoyable and fun
- create non judgement, safe and supportive environments
- help to remove any lack of self belief and body image concerns
