I AM NOT PERFECT
There, I said it!
It might sound obvious to everyone else but I am a typical Virgo; demanding perfection from myself and everyone else. ♍️
Except, it’s taken me until my 40s to realise that I am not a robot and being human is okay. 🤖
I do make mistakes, I don’t know everything and I’m not perfect. I’m always trying to learn and grow. 🤷🏼♀️
I definitely don’t want to portray an Insta-perfect version of me because it’s false, exhausting and damaging to other people’s mental health. I’m much better at just being me - mostly no make up and barely brushed hair (on non-wedding days!) 💁🏼♀️
I am a real person who will do my best to show you the ups and downs - just like life is! 🫶🏻

We can all get frustrated 😣
Perhaps one of these things is happening to you;
👉🏻 A supplier isn’t getting back to you in a timely manner
👉🏻 A couple keeps chasing you for info
👉🏻 Fellow supplier/s are taking over at weddings
Almost anything can be solved by effective communication AHEAD of the day.
Here’s some tips:
👍🏻 Suppliers; make couples aware of your process after booking, so they know what to expect and when
👍🏻 Couples: If possible, make a list of all of your questions and arrange a time to have a phone/video chat with the supplier.
👍🏻 Couples: Make your wedding day timeline by consulting each supplier first, so you know how much time, realistically, you will need for make-up/photos/food etc. Then make sure every supplier receives a copy.
Communication is key. Of course frustration happens, especially when the pressure is on and it’s a hot day and Uncle Bill is upsetting the bride and trying to take photos during the ceremony, however, if we can reduce the unnecessary frustrations - the things that are in our control - ahead of the day, it’s easier all round! 🫶🏻

GETTING READY
This is such a lovely time on your wedding day. Everyone is relaxed (if you have a planner/coordinator!) and getting ready at a leisurely pace.
I’d definitely recommend some food for everyone to graze on throughout the morning, as it’s likely that everyone won’t eat a meal until they sit down for dinner.
Some easy ideas;

🥯 Bagels
🥪 Sandwiches
Most importantly, remember to hydrate, especially if it’s a warm day! 💧
