Bloomers has been on the high street of Brackley for some 30 years and is now run by myself, Becky. This was quite a few years ago now. Freshly cut flowers notoriously don’t like hot weather, but there are a few ways you can help keep them fresher for longer

• keep as cool as possible, making sure flowers are out of direct sunlight

• change water regularly, replacing each time with cold water

• re-cut the stems with each water change

• clean vases with bleach and don’t rinse. It helps to leave a little residue of bleach in the vase, keeping bacteria from growing
