Christmas window shopping

So our doors are officially closed, but rest assured we will still be here 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 2pm Saturdays working away on our orders. New cards are now in stock ❤ Who else loves cards a bit more than they should? (The stands are new too but I think I'm the only one who's going to be excited about that). All of our cards we stock are from small british businesses. We now have a bigger range than before, including some national trust cards which come with no cello and some cards that are wrapped in eco cello. Doing up my little flower shop 💐❤

I decided I wanted to be a florist when I was 14. I'm not really sure why, I just decided it was what I wanted to do. I arranged to do my work experience at Bloomers and at the end of the 2 weeks, a week before my 15th birthday I became the 'Saturday girl' here. I still remember my boss letting me take a bouquet home that I had made, it was an old fashioned flat bouquet with a MASSIVE bright red poly bow 🙈. I remember being in the shop daydreaming about what I would do with it if it was mine. So let's fast forward nearly 16 years, (16 years!? Where did that go 😳) I've been to college and left with a national diploma in floristry. I've left Bloomers and worked in a couple of different florists with some amazing people. I've learned so so much and gained so much confidence (you wouldn't think it now but 15 years ago I was extremely shy, I would hardly speak to anyone) and now I'm back where it all began. This time though Bloomers is mine, and I have finally been able to put my personal touch on it. It's probably nothing like how 15 year old me imagined it, style has changed a lot since then, as have I, but I'm so happy with the result. This little (and by little, I mean quite big, 6 weeks long big actually) project has seen me get through over 30 litres of paint, over a litre of caulk, about 2 litres of filler and around 5kg of patching plaster. It's also seen me go home each night covered head to toe in dust and paint with an aching back (another sign I'm no longer 15 😅) and bruises some nights too, but I finally got there 👊 It's a shame that it took these very sad, difficult circumstances for me to get the chance to do it, but I guess we've got to appreciate the positives in this situation. You wouldn't believe how happy I was to see boxes of flowers when I walked in this morning 💐 I've actually quite enjoyed doing the shop up, but floristry is my true passion and I've been itching to get back to it. So now I'm back doing what I do best. Anyway s

It's a cold but beautiful morning today. We have had a delivery of our metal garden ornaments this week which make perfect presents. We also have a good selection of door wreaths now available, with more coming out daily. Pop into the shop or visit us at the Brackley Christmas market tomorrow at Egerton Hall between 11am and 3pm where we will have a selection of our wreaths available.
