👋 It's been a while, and I thought it's time for a little reintroduction. I've been on quite the journey over the past few years, and I've picked up a few new followers along the way. For those who are just joining the adventure, let me share a bit about myself:

🌿 I'm Emma
🌿 Based in Berkshire, UK
🌿 I love flowers and have worked in the industry since I was 16, but I've also got a passion for sewing, reading and art. I also LOVE a statement necklace
🌿 I'm a Mum of two boys, wife and head chef at Chez Mackley but I always find time to re-calibrate whilst swimming and hopping in the sauna
🌿 I'm an introvert at heart, so you'll find slower, gentle paced content over here.
🌿My word of the year is Discovery, and I'm so excited to see where it takes me in 2024

I'll be sharing the ups, downs and everything that happens in my floristry workshop - from every day bouquets, sympathy work and weddings. I also love to teach floristry, it's something I want to take further in 2024, so if you're interested in some more in-depth coaching drop me a DM.

Entrance flowers should always wow.
They are your first look florals, setting the scene and tone for your guests, but also feature heavily in those portrait shots capturing the moment you are officially married!

This archway perfectly framed the splendid Checkendon Church for an early autumn wedding. Hydrangeas, branches, dahlias, grasses, amaranths and many more blooms were chosen to compliment the changing of season which is well and truly upon us.

Attention to the tiniest wreath details.

It's all about layer upon layer of texture. I'm not just talking about haphazard assortments of flowers and leaves; it's about a gathering of thoughtfully curated flora and fauna. From selecting the perfect berries to every other detail, creating a beautiful wreath takes time.

Just like an artist paints a canvas, my medium is foliage to craft a bespoke artwork for your door.

All the fluff and frills encapsulated in this dreamy bridal bouquet. It had bounce in abundance and straddled the seasons perfectly with anemones, ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, muscari, blossom, hellebores and roses.

Have you ordered for Mothering Sunday weekend? I’ve picked 2 gorgeous colour ways this year - spring pastels and spring brights, both equally scrummy and available to order via our website.
As always, I’m making limited numbers of bouquets. I’m a small batch producer making sure each and everyone one of my bouquets is made with love, by me - a skilled florist who LOVES flowers.
No quick flinging it together here, I know you’re ordering flowers for a special person in life and I make sure your bouquet is given the time, love and attention to make sure it’s perfect.

Happy Wednesday my lovely flower friends. Here’s a virtual bunch, made by me, for you to enjoy for the briefest of moments today.

Take a second. Imagine the smell of the muscari and roses, the way the green guelder rose would feel if you touched it. Think of how those ranunculus will open and give you joy for days on end.

Flowers play a part in every moment of our lives, the good, the bad and the just because moments. They have the power to connect people far away, to let you know that you are in people’s thoughts, always.

So here’s my virtual bunch to you. I am thinking of you all. Thank you for being on this journey with me, I am so grateful to have you here ❤️

Happy 1st February. These hellebores are my little virtual gift for you all for making it through January. It’s 5:00pm here and the sky still retains some light. a true reminder that those lighter longer days are not that far off.

Studio life this week is a bit topsy turvy - appointments, children off school and various other life occurrences but I’ll be back delivering all the floral goodness on Friday and Saturday this week.

All bouquets will be a feast of double tulips, anemones, amaryllis and a whole host of other flowers designed to brighten up those early February days.

Admiring the ruffles on these anemones this morning. As much as the frozen world was beautiful to look at, it’s lovely to wake up and know it’s a few degrees warmer.

On the list today - my June and July brides - scheduling their catch up meetings and updating their estimates. I’ve got another bespoke tribute to make and deliver today as well and there are some exciting updates on the website coming ….
