Since then, my style has evolved and is less traditional as I like to make natural looking flowing bouquets and arrangements. I use fresh flowers and love using different foliage to bring combinations of textures, allowing the flowers room to show their blooms within the bouquets. The name, Amapola Flowers -(flowers to remember), was created with the influence of family. My mother being Spanish an

d her love of Poppies. Amapola is Poppy in Spanish and slogan - "flowers to remember", seemed the best choice, because that's what flowers do! All the arrangements are made using 'florist choice' flowers so that the best available blooms are chosen for each arrangement. The colour palettes are generally as seen in the photos. I've made countless hand tied bouquets, container arrangements - hatbox, envelope box, baskets and glass jars for all those memorable occasions. I try to be as eco-friendly as I can. I use Kraft paper and recyclable containers. Hatboxes and Envelope boxes could be repurposed as storage containers. I also do small funeral and wedding work and also workshops. Funeral tributes - I use foliage to edge tributes instead of ribbon, a tiny difference to lessen the impact on the environment of some of the tributes. Wedding work - Bouquets, Buttonholes, Corsage, Ceremony and Reception table decor. Thank you for taking the time to look at my business, Just pop a message over for more info on any creations.

💚🌸 UPDATE ON AMAPOLA FLOWERS🌸💚

I’m happy to say that Amapola Flowers. is now ready to re-open.

I will be available to provide fresh, florist choice hand-tied bouquets, envelope boxes, Christmas wreaths and funeral flowers.
*pre-ordered by the Tuesday and delivered on Thursdays or Fridays. BD postcodes and Strensall/surrounding areas.

Also, I know it’s early but places can go fast, so I’m just giving advanced notice that I will be doing Christmas Wreath Making Workshops again this year in Strensall.
They’ll be in late November & early December.
They were a great success last year and everyone enjoyed themselves.
The price will remain the same £40.

Sometimes life throws a curveball and plans change for a while.

If you’re wondering what the flowers in the photo are, they’re called Ranunculus. They’re one of my favourite small flowers, so delicate and come in a variety of colours and remind me of mini Peonies.
I wish they were available all year round. Just look at all those petals!😍
