This certainly isn’t something you see every day! 🤯We noticed one of the stick insects starting to moult, and managed to get the tripod set up in time for a time-lapse ⏰The whole process took around 20 minutes, but it’ll be another hour or so until the new exoskeleton dries off and hardens properly. How cool is this? 😁
We love watching Cinder ‘hunt’ her dinner! Chasing crickets around is a great way to keep her mobile and active. This one made a lucky escape (for now) 🦗
An important part of keeping animals that eat insects is making sure that the ‘feeders’ are also fed. This means that they live longer (less wastage for us) and they have better nutritional value when our animals eat them. Here are some locusts tucking into their cabbage 🥬
We’ve been asked if Picasso can perform a very important task for some very lucky children this festive season! 🎅🦉⚡️
I’m not sure Echo needed to deploy such stalking for a worm, but she sure looks proud of herself afterwards! 😋
We got Mischief a new toy today. We smeared it with honey and it’s definitely a hit! I’ll never tire of hearing his little munching noises! 🍯 🦨
We never got around to carving our pumpkins this year, so we thought we’d see what Mischief makes of them instead. I think he approves 🎃
POV: you’re Bramble’s dinner 🍽️
Look who’s landed! 😍
Everybody say hello to Bramble!
Bramble is a red-footed falcon and the newest addition to our bird team. She’s getting into the swing of things very quickly, and will soon be off the creance and flying completely free 🦅

What a cool video of Echo shedding (and eating!) her skin. 🦎 Leopard geckos eat their shed skin to recover some of the lost nutrients, ready for the next time they shed!

Xena was feeling very playful at today’s event! 🦅
