Great day celebrating Molly's birthday with friends and family, then Florence with her friends and family.

Finally late evening dash to Huddersfield to Donna's 50th birthday. So nice to catch up with family ❤️

Some lovely parties this weekend offering face painting, glitter tattoos and balloons for some fabulous families and their children.

Most parties are lovely and children are well behavioured and courteous.

Unfortunately not all. This weekend had some disruptive children not just grabbing my materials and equipment but scrambling onto table multiple times knocking things onto floor with hands/feet and little or no adult supervision. I had to lift a child off the table who had already been removed 3 times by mother and was subjected to abuse for handling the child because she was standing on £100s of paints/brushes. These adults complained rather than assist me and then when I said I had finished because my time was up and had to get to next job I was accused of punishing children.

I am a fast worker and try ensure all children (and adults) have the opportunity to have something done. Like most artists I limit glitter tattoos to one each (small parties usually 2) but this party I also had a complaint by an adults because I only let her (adult) have 2 tattoos!

I have been face painting for 12 years but this is the first complaint I have received (well 2 in one day). I am experienced and patient but todays party has really annoyed and upset me.

On a positive note I was given lovely pack up supper and gorgeous guardian angel thank you gift which lifted my spirits after tough day ❤️

Events this week included summer community event, 1st birthday, wedding anniversary/blessing and Keighley pride.

Bit of a disaster on my hands as I have lost my massive wallet of fantastic magic brushes 🙄 I have ordered some more but will have to use spare bits and bobs until they have arrived 😭

Lovely time balloon twisting at teddy bears picnic at Sapgate Gardens today. Not the best environment for balloons with lots of spiky shrubs and grass and very hot day 🤣
