Elegant Wedding Flowers, Beautiful Sympathy Flowers and Luxury Gift Bouquets
24/04/2025
A very fitting farewell traditional 4ft double ended casket spray for John, who adored Bradford City.
We chose really special and interesting flowers which I’m sure he would have loved. Double Asiatic Lilies, Cymbidium Orchids, Anthurium, Chrysanthemum blooms, Lisianthus, Roses and Hypericum.
Thank you to Helen for choosing me to create this arrangement, it really does mean so much to me.
If you are looking for sympathy flower arrangements which are personal and truly bespoke designs, then please do get in touch. My business line is 07811 087323,

ANTHURIUMS Fresh Flowers in today!
It’s been a manic day making up orders, though I still can make up a few more bouquets if you want to pop me a message
A beautiful selection of high quality and long lasting blooms including Anthuriums, Orchids, Lisianthus, Hypericum and Roses. I’d say anything from 10-20days with correct care, so in a cool room, no direct sun and regular vase water changes and re-cutting of their stems.

Happy 2year Wedding Anniversary to Catherine and Sam!
I loved working with this couple! They were married at local venue Hollins Hall Hotel, Golf & Country Club
Here’s Catherine with her bridesmaids showing just how realistic her faux flower bouquets looked. I don’t often work in faux, but when I do I choose flowers which look like the real flower, and sometimes they can be a very special keepsake from your wedding day.

Flashback to April 2024 - Wedding season has begun!
I loved the spring colours for Zoe and Christopher’s wedding last year at The Priest’s House.
The fresh lemon and white colours contrasted beautifully against the emerald green bridesmaid dresses.
Remember this is your special day and at Ivy & Eve we work together to bring your dreams to reality, creating bespoke bouquets and arrangements which are truly personal to you.
Bridal consultation meeting dates are quickly filling up for the weekends ahead so if you would love for me to be your wedding florist then please do get in touch 07811 087323 or email [email protected]
Finally completed my ‘annual’ wreath base weaving task! I need to complete this after the frosts but before leaf growth begins.
Took me much longer than expected as there were two years of growth on my Salix!
Creating nearly 30 bases, I weave each one on my lawn, which has been a joy in the beautiful sunny weather. I feel a little like Rumpelstiltskin turning something ordinary into something amazing!
And now I’ve got to chop up the larger branches into kindling for my mum, though it’ll need all year to dry out in her wood shed, it’s great to think I make use of everything!

Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful sunny weather we’ve been having.
I’m now enjoying a two week Easter break to spend time with my family and friends, they mean the world to me and maybe, just maybe I’ll do some work in the garden or maybe even starting on the kitchen revamp!
How are you spending your Easter? Have you already eaten your Easter Eggs?

I really loved creating flowers at Mother’s Day, pre-ordering my blooms direct with my favourite growers, I loved my chosen colour palette planned months in advance.
I’m still enjoying the final bud vases of Salmon Ranunculus and Peach Roses on my mantle as well as a lovely big bunch of Eucalyptus and French Ruscus as I love simplicity and greenery.

My beautiful Spring Wreaths. I absolutely adore creating these!!
Thank you to everyone who has ordered them from me. Please do give them a good jug of water if you are able to lay them down to get a big drink, the bulbs and fresh foliage will appreciate it.
I’ve been creating these for quite a number of years and every year they get bigger and better and fuller. Though I will need to adjust their pricing for next year and perhaps have a couple of price point options, whether to go more simple or whether to go with this luxury option.
These are something special I hold dear to my heart, and their design and colours, choice of materials are 100% my ideas and dreams brought into life 💗

Welcome to April! Spring is here and so is the sunshine! Here’s a few tips to keep your flowers blooming beautifully all week long:
1.) If you haven't already, unwrap them and untie them, as their wrapping can cause the flowers and foliage to sweat.
2.)1/3 fill a clean vase filled with fresh water, I like cooled boiled water best but tap is also fine, and the flower food sachet included.
3.) Snip the stems about 1/2-1 inch on an angle, more surface area, this help re-open their airways and allow them to drink effectively.
4.) Find their happy place, somewhere they'll make you smile, but not in direct sunlight, draughts or near heat sources. My favourite spot is my cooler, shadier living room next to my telly so I can always admire them when I finally relax!
5.) Every 2-3 days change the water completely and give the vase a little clean whilst you’re at it. The less bacterial growth in there the longer the flowers will last, and recut those stems!
I take this as the perfect time to remove those blooms which have faded to give the rest a chance to shine and recut the stems.

• HAPPY MOTHERS DAY •
Thank you so much for supporting me, my 12th Mother’s Day creating flowers!
My chosen flower selection for this year of fruity pastels were a huge success, those Ecuadorian Roses from my favourite grower and my favourite Lisianthus growers both preordered directly were show stoppers!
As per each year, I had sold out by Friday, so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. It means so much to be putting lots of smiles on faces.
I’ll see those who have arranged to collect your orders tomorrow morning. I have a few spring planters which make the perfect gift if you need something tomorrow!
Loads of love to all those mums, and to those who miss their mums on this special day
Enjoy the day with your loved ones,
Laura x

Let me explain… Ivy & Eve is the joining of my first loves – all things flowers and my first born daughter Evie. Together I feel this name represents a couple of the things that bring me joy!
My journey began long before I qualified as a florist in 2016, as I always had a love for flowers and a serious case of Green Fingers! I have more than 10 years of experience in the floristry and horticulture industry.
We run the business from Baildon, a West Yorkshire village surrounded by striking countryside, and beautiful wedding locations that my brides choose to celebrate their big days. Nearby are the ideal wedding venues Hollins Hall Hotel, The Chevin Hotel & Spa and The Old Barn Esholt.
I pride myself on offering a truly bespoke service to my clients, whether they want me to work with their personal preferences or for me to guide them with my carefully selected choices. All designed after chatting together, over a coffee, about how you would like your beautiful blooms to look.
In an ever changing world, I am keen to be supporting the use of recyclable materials where possible, by reducing cellophane and plastics and instead using quality kraft papers and premium Floralbox gift boxes which are recyclable alongside re-usable natural woven materials. All these little changes help reduce waste and save the environment!
I am completely passionate about all things flowery, as has been mentioned far too many times during my wreath workshops!
