The couple took it in their stride and were just super lovely, one thing you can’t arrange is the weather.

We were asked for a dried, neutral, green and white modern mashup which we’re hoping delivered!

I love working with as their team are so welcoming, helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

We have so many beautiful wedding photos to share from this season, time to start getting them out of the Google Drive and onto socials for people to see!

Apologies I am not up to date with emails at the moment, we’re just having too much festive and birthday fun, we have two December birthdays in our house!

Feeling festive ✨

And that’s a wrap on 2024! We packed up our last wedding of the year this morning. I decided this year to not take on anything except hire only in December as it’s difficult to fit in all the festivities, navigate school holidays and my son’s birthday is the 7th and my husbands is on Boxing Day so it’s an extra busy month for our family with birthday parties too!

So here’s a pic of a xmassy wedding we did a couple of years ago and an opportunity to say just a huge great big thank you to all our lovely couples and industry pals we’ve had the pleasure to work with this year. Congratulations to you all and thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

Saying goodbye 🤎

One thing I never thought I’d have to do, at least not until I was an old lady anyway, was create the flowers for my sister’s coffin. She loved earthy, Autumnal colours and dahlias 🧡

Yesterday we said our final goodbyes and interestingly flowers bring something you don’t anticipate. Unfortunately, in three years I’ve had to create funeral tributes for my grandma, godmother and now my big sister and each time it’s been oddly cathartic and heals your soul a tiny bit.

The process is hard but healing. Knowing you are doing the one last thing for someone you cared so deeply about. This time I had my middle sister for support and chief stem cutter, she even got confident and put a few flowers in herself. We laughed, we cried, we got a little delirious and we ate pizza and drank tea all while filling a piece of foam with some stems. Someone we never ever wanted to have to do together, but oddly a nice memory I now have with my other sister in our shared grief.

It was a cremation not a burial so we encouraged people to take a few stems with them as they paid their respects rather than the arrangement ending up in the bin. Friends and family sent me photos of their flowers at home with a candle and a momento and I did the same and I felt another wave of emotion and comfort knowing we had helped other people process their grief too. I recommend this for anyone’s funeral flowers.

Flowers are not just flowers. They are a chance to heal, and a little joy to bring to dark moments. Buy them, make them, gift them and use them to remember 🌺

So they say the most stressful thing you’ll ever do is move house…. what about when your moving date is right in the throws of peak wedding season… that counts for double right… 🤪🤪

So excitingly we finally got given our moving date last week, it’s Wednesday 7th August, we feel so fortunate to finally have a date and move into our forever home. It does however mean that my admin has been pretty much non existent and will continue to be so until ‘we’re in’. Of course all events in the diary will be going ahead as planned (including one on our moving date 😂🤪) and everyone will be looked after but response time to anything non urgent will be slow.

Coordinations are in full swing!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the day at with amazingly welcoming Lisa and their wedding team for the wedding of Siobhan & Justin 🧡

Gorgeous day, gorgeous weather, gorgeous suppliers, gorgeous guests, everything just wonderful.

Can’t wait to see what captured 📸

Today I’m not at the laptop or an event, it’s a Casper & Mummy day, I’ll be back to work tomorrow 🥰 If anyone needs a pair of hands for just them on their wedding day, check out The Big Day on our website!
