The Notley Green Community Association (who run the village hall) would love to be able to offer more all inclusive events for Great Notley, but we are in need of new volunteers to help out. Work starts today to replace all the paving around the community centre and resurface the main car park. It will take 2-3 weeks to complete and during this time the car park will be closed to the general public and only available to those attending classes in the community centre. The work will be done in sections and pedestrian access around the building and through the car park will be closed at times, so unless you are visiting the community centre please avoid the area. Many thanks 😊

Manned by staff from Happy Hill Essex CIO - a facility for special needs children to play we will have a quiet tent on the edge of the village green, for parents / carers with SEND children to go, should they wish to escape the noise and bustle of the day. There will also be a private area for parents / carers needing to attend to personal care. We hope you all enjoy the day 😊

I hope you’ve all had an amazing half term!

As we approach the last half term, as a teacher, I’m very aware of the transition that children face - preparing for new teachers, classes and schools. Some children can find this an anxious time.

My own child, Sebastian, will be transitioning to secondary school this summer. I know that this is playing on his mind. I love that he is coming along to the MiniMe Mindfulness sessions to learn extra ‘Superpowers’ to teach him important tools that may help him.

Becoming a Mindset Mentor has been the most rewarding opportunity for me but also my own children. I’m feeling very grateful! 🌸

What a busy and fun day we had yesterday! The day started with the Parish Council Chairman & the ladies from WINGS decorating the Christmas Tree 🎄 Inside we were setting up for our pantomime 🎭 Dick Whittington, which ended with a surprise 😉 visit from Father Christmas 🎅🏻 We then quickly reset the hall and got ready for Carols around the Christmas Tree 🎶🎄
We hope you all enjoyed our Christmas celebrations. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year from everyone at The NGCA 😊

Today we were at The Plaza for the Volunteer Awards afternoon tea to celebrate our volunteers that were nominated or couldn’t attend the ceremony.

The lovely Ken Yap from our Community Transport team is now back from Hong Kong and was with us in person rather than on screen!

He won Volunteer of the Year and the Going the Extra Mile Award as well as today receiving recognition of great and valuable service in the community from the High Sheriff of Essex.
