Hallbankgate village Hall Welcome to The Lacy Thompson Memorial Hall Our stage is versatile for all uses, adjustable in size and height. We have a badminton court which is widely used.

Here at the Lacy Thompson hall we have excellent facilities for all occasions like weddings, parties, events, meeting's, clubs etc
With capacity for up to 180 people. We also have large kitchen facilites and meeting room available for hire. All the hall and kitchen have full heating if required. We are situaited approx 12 miles from carlisle with ample parking,

We are very lucky to have Hrishikesh Desai coming back for the third year to judge the baking section of this Saturdays show.
HOWEVER, he needs to nip off quite quickly and so to accommodate this, we are asking that if you wish to enter a baking category, PLEASE can you have your entries in the hall by 11am.

Our Story

The Lacy Thompson memorial hall (Hallbankgate village hall) was built in 1891 and was gifted to the Parish 0n the 26th November 1964. Since then has been a valuable community asset to the Parish of Farlam.

The hall is registered charity (520319) and run by a Committee of Managing Trustees

The main hall measures approximately 20 metres by 7 metres wide and is marked out for badminton. In addition to the various badminton clubs, the hall is used for public music and theatre events as well as private parties, wedding receptions and Rainbows and Brownies, Keep fit clubs etc. With capacity for up to 180 people. Our stage is versatile for all uses, adjustable in size and height. We also have large kitchen facilities and meeting room available for hire. We have a badminton court which is widely used. All the hall and kitchen are fully centrally heated.

Facilities also include Ladies and Gents toilets as well as a disabled toilet with a baby changing table. We are situated approx 12 miles from Carlisle with ample parking, Set in the tranquil settings in the village of Hallbankgate.
