Hallbankgate village Hall Welcome to The Lacy Thompson Memorial Hall Our stage is versatile for all uses, adjustable in size and height. We have a badminton court which is widely used.

Here at the Lacy Thompson hall we have excellent facilities for all occasions like weddings, parties, events, meeting's, clubs etc
With capacity for up to 180 people. We also have large kitchen facilites and meeting room available for hire. All the hall and kitchen have full heating if required. We are situaited approx 12 miles from carlisle with ample parking,

The hall was the venue for a special birthday girls party today and the birthday girl was lovely enough to think about the ladies bringing kids to the party. What a thoughtful thing to do. We hope you enjoyed your party 💕🏵

Another successful Kids Christmas Party!!
HUGE Thank you to Thompsons of Prudhoe who donated to the event which meant that along side the donations from last year's party... we were able to run this for children in the parish/at the school ....FOR FREE!

As always I have to thank my helpers, Donna, Ella and Will for running the kitchen, to Jason the Juggler who kept the kids entertained, to Santa (who comes every year without fail and does such a fab job!) and not forgetting all of you who come along, buy coffees and cakes, and give your donations.
I hope all of the kids had a lovely time. We hope to see you all again next year !

Our Story

The Lacy Thompson memorial hall (Hallbankgate village hall) was built in 1891 and was gifted to the Parish 0n the 26th November 1964. Since then has been a valuable community asset to the Parish of Farlam.

The hall is registered charity (520319) and run by a Committee of Managing Trustees

The main hall measures approximately 20 metres by 7 metres wide and is marked out for badminton. In addition to the various badminton clubs, the hall is used for public music and theatre events as well as private parties, wedding receptions and Rainbows and Brownies, Keep fit clubs etc. With capacity for up to 180 people. Our stage is versatile for all uses, adjustable in size and height. We also have large kitchen facilities and meeting room available for hire. We have a badminton court which is widely used. All the hall and kitchen are fully centrally heated.

Facilities also include Ladies and Gents toilets as well as a disabled toilet with a baby changing table. We are situated approx 12 miles from Carlisle with ample parking, Set in the tranquil settings in the village of Hallbankgate.
