Hey everyone, let's talk about the age-old debate: what defines a "real" DJ? Some say it's all about vinyl, that if you're not spinning records, you're not the real deal. Well, I beg to differ.

Sure, there's something undeniably nostalgic and authentic about the scratch of a vinyl record, the tactile feel of flipping through albums, and the art of beatmatching without the aid of modern technology. But does that mean DJs who embrace digital platforms aren't legit? Absolutely not.

As a DJ myself, I appreciate the roots of the craft. I respect the pioneers who paved the way with turntables and vinyl. But I also embrace the advancements that technology has brought to the table. Being a DJ is about connecting with the crowd, curating the right vibe, and keeping the energy flowing. Whether you're using vinyl, CDJs, or software controllers, it's all about the music and the skill behind the decks.

I love vinyl, and I still incorporate it into my sets whenever I can. There's a certain magic to it that can't be replicated digitally. But I also love the flexibility and convenience that digital platforms offer. It's about finding the right balance between tradition and innovation, and ultimately, it's about the music.

So, to all the vinyl purists out there, I hear you. But being a DJ is about more than just the tools you use. It's about the passion you bring to the craft, the connection you make with the audience, and the music that moves us all. And whether you're spinning vinyl or digital tracks, as long as you're doing it with heart, you're a DJ in my book. Let's keep the beats alive, no matter the format. 🎶
