The next Muse Mumblings event is coming to us on October 18th 07.00 pm start -09.00pm at The Muse Brecon.
This months speakers will be covering mental health in older people, and the Mens Mental Health movement. Again all with a personal viewpoint.
Our “half time” light relief this month is courtesy of The Brecon Shanty Crew bring us a short fun set of their songs.
Muse Mumblings is Wellbeing Event that challenges stigma by bringing you people from your community openly sharing their life stories. This event will bring you personal viewpoints of mental illness. A presentation on what Anxiety is and how to challenge it. An update on underutilised/unknown support services and how to access them. Think a local Ted Talk/Moth radio hour. It is all about learning, (for everyone)sharing experiences and building community. Please take a minute to share this event for us. See you all there

Hi Folks. Next Night is on Wednesday, October 2nd.
We have a bit of a change that needs to be made on club nights. Ruth hasn’t charged us for the use of the Muse since the club began over 7 years ago. That generosity has been what has heloed the club to grow in such a fantastic venue! We have had a meeting with Ruth, and from Octobers club she will need to cover some of her overheads for the night. This will be as minimal as Ruth can make it.
So, what we are going to do is ask first an entry fee of £2.00 on the night. I’m hoping we can do this in the form of an honesty box on the bar, so you can all use it when you are getting a pint or a coffee. And Jodie wont have to work as a “Doorman” on the night! (The power goes to her head) Thank you Ruth for all your support, and continued support for the club. It’s allowed the club to thrive!

Hello everyone. Just a quick reminder that Wednesday the 3rd is our July club night. As many of you know, the club has only ever run under a Conservative government. This will be the last club held under those conditions. As such we will have the son of an ‘umble toolmaker’ to take the p**s out of instead of wee Sunak. See you all there.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to apologise for the cancelled club last night. Basically I have been struck down by a horrible D and V virus. Freyja and the kids were just coming out of the same thing so Freyja and Joe couldn't run it. And it it doesn't seem prudent to let Jodie potentially play typhoid Mary for the evening. I think this is the first time we have had to cancell a club, but the fact is it was too short a time for someone to step forward. The plus side is that if and when this happens again, then the wonderful Angus has said he will step in to run the club.
