Last week I managed to break my thumb.🤦‍♂️ Luckily it was in my left hand and isn't my trigger finger.
It has, however, made things a little awkward. I'm aiming to open the studio as normal, but there will be the odd fracture clinic appointment and I am also relying on others for lifts.

If you do need a studio shoot for any reason though, drop me a message (not on here though...WhatsApp, text or email are the best options) and I'll get back to you to arrange.

So, week two of positive Covid tests. Getting a bit bored now. Feel fine in myself, but the positive LFTs are keeping me away from the studio, fingers crossed they’ll be negative soon and I’ll be able to get back to work.

If anyone wants to drop off donations for the Ukraine appeal, I am now taking them in, at my studio.

Items needed are mens razors, baby jars, baby powdered milk, torches, batteries, dummies, foil blankets, fruitshoots, dried foods, dog and cat food, tin openers.

Clothing or bedding is not needed at the moment.

The studio is normally open from 9.30 am till 3pm, Monday to Friday. If possible I will try and open up outside of these hours to accept donations.

***update***
The WG has requested that we hold off on collecting items and that if anyone wishes to help that they should give money to DEC instead.

So tomorrow is the day we've been waiting for (then and when the pubs open that is)! The studio is finally allowed to reopen to the public!
It’s been a very long winter but I am so excited to get back to doing what I love.
I’ve spent the last 4 months with my wonderful wife (who works for the NHS) and home schooling our teenage boy’s which has been challenging.
I’ve also taken the time to take photos at home. My wife had suggested re-enacting our first family picture last summer and with a little persuasion we managed to get the kids on board with it too...😆 We did it as a surprise gift for the grandparents at Christmas but the results are amazing.
So my suggestion to you is hunt out your family pictures, and re-enact them.

This last few months have been extremely strange for all of us. Perhaps even more so than during the first lockdown. At least back then the weather was amazing and it was nice to get out in the garden a bit to soak up the rays. It's a tad on the fresh side to do that at the moment.
Like pretty much every wedding and portrait photographer, work hasn't really been allowed, but I've been itching to get out and start photographing people again. In the mean time I'm restricted to looking at what the rest of the world has had to offer to the photography world. As it is still early in the year many competition winner or shortlists are announced. Useful for when you want to lose yourself for a few hours looking at some truly spectacular images. Here is one of my favourites from this past week.

Well...lockdown...again! 😕

Obviously this means that the studio will have to close again until further notice.
