Very big thank you to Twm & his mum at https://www.facebook.com/brynawelcakes for our stunning wedding cake which was just the most delicious cake EVER! I’ve literally just had the last slice. We had the best day ever at Quantock Lakes for our wedding last week and have just had the pleasure of going through the 1st of the pictures from our very dear friend Emma, these are just screen shots of the images. All 3 layers were so delicious only complaint was there should have been a bigger lemon cake as that was the small top layer. Honestly can’t recommend Bryn Awel Cakes enough. I will be recommending to all my Welsh couples.

Well, a strange stressful year has been had in the BCW house hold and a decision has been made to up sticks and move to another country! As a lot of my clients are long distance this shouldn't be too much of a problem.
We're looking forward to a bright new future taking our award winning business into the beautiful country of Wales!
Not only did I fall in Love with a gorgeous Welsh man, I fell in love with his homeland and so decided to make a fresh new start in The Rhondda Valley.

Watch this space for updates of where I finally land and this new exciting adventure as it unfolds.

Hey guys, I have some really exciting news for you, I know that you have been really responsive and helpful in helping me choose a new branding look for my business and I can tell you that your response has been amazing, super supportive and I have had many encouraging comments and messages from you all so thank you so much for that, I have decided to go with no.1 but without the background so it can be used on lots of different publications but I had lots of votes for 3/4 so I’ve also included some of those elements on my new ...........website! I’m really hoping to be able to share it with you all soon, I’m just waiting for the new DSN to change over which is really frustrating as I want to share it with you all.

I’ve been super busy and was inspired by Desislava Dobreva - The Branding Queen who has really opened my eyes in moving forward with my business.

So I'm in my 10th year of my business so it's about time you got to know me a little better, for those that don't know here's how Box Clever Wedding all started.

When my children were small I loved being creative & I loved gadgets so I bought lots of equipment and learnt loads of different techniques, I had so much stuff that I wanted to share what I had with others so I created a crafting group at my local church hall that allowed everyone who wanted to learn crafting have a go, some even liked it so much they decided to buy their own, that craft club would meet once a month, I’d charge £5 for the day & they got to try anything, I loved it, I got to meet other people, made wonderful friends (sadly lost a few on the way) and share all my crafting stuff with them, Westfield craft club ran for 6 years with me and when I moved on the girls carried on with the club which still meets most months now. (until covid got in the way)

10 years ago I decided I’d like to try making favour boxes for weddings so with my crafting equipment I started hand assembling favour boxes and because people would say I was clever at making things I came up with the name Box Clever (also boxing clever thinking on my feet) & threw wedding on the end as that was my goal and Box Clever Wedding was born and officially registered April 2010, I developed my favour making business and did a year of weddings but with the advancement of places like ebay people could buy boxes online and make them easily themselves, the bottom soon fell out of that market so I started tentatively branching into the stationery market, it seemed a natural progression being as I had tonnes of crafting equipment I could utilise.
Exhibiting in the wedding world proved to be very expensive so not one to be deterred I decided to run my own wedding show, primarily I would find a wedding venue who wanted to increase their exposure so I’d get the use of the facilities for free, would network & invite lots of quality suppliers no more than 3 of each type & different from each other, run all the marketing and advertising campaigns and run the show on the day & have my own stand at the show. The exhibitors loved that I wanted the show to succeed as much for me as for them and could see the effort I put in along with halving the cost of a show for exhibitors & it was all good exposure for the venue.

Along the way I went to many wedding venues and on a visit to Huntstile Organic Farm I happened to notice a few old shy sticks from a coconut shy & I had an idea of creating wedding games so in 2013 I started an addition of hand built wedding games (all built by little ole me) & The "It’s Fete" side of my business was born, I had several good years of wedding & vintage hire & my products were unique designs so couples loved that, in 2014 I even won an award for best entertainment non music!

Whilst continuing to make stationery I also applied this exhibiting experience to helping a new wedding venue start up and was well on the way to my dream job of being a wedding coordinator so in 2015 I help develop and open a beautiful wedding venue in Taunton (Knapp Farm) which after months of marketing and development opened with one of my trademark wedding fairs in Sept…sadly the owners decided a week before the show that they were going to sell the beautiful farm and it would be unlikely any new owner would take on the farm as a wedding venue, I did however get to fulfill my dream and successful ran my very 1st (sadly last there) Wedding in June 2016. Not one to be disheartened I continued to run wedding shows & create stationery for lovely couples and assisted a few other wedding venue developments along the way eventually landing a role as wedding front of house in 2017 covering maternity leave at Quantock Lakes following a very successful wedding show, well to be honest who wouldn’t want to come see this stunning venue ( I know I’m biased) I have continued to work at QL and have acquired a great skill set working there and am now the Housekeeping Manager for the luxury accommodation whilst still creating gorgeous wedding stationery……. I Love My Life

“If you’ve already set your style & have sent out your save the dates or invites and now you’ve found me you‘ve decided you want the rest of your wedding stationery made by Box Clever Wedding.... that is not a problem.
A couple of times now clients have come to me having gone for a cheap (sometimes not cheap!) save the date or invite which hasn’t really meet their expectations, maybe the quality was poor but they’d set the scene with the palette and they wanted a continuation. Whilst I would never plagiarise another designers work I am happy to create something that compliments the original design. “

It’s so wonderful to get an affirming comment from my clients, I’m humbled when I get them as I’m just doing what I love to do, but I appreciate that new clients like to be reassured that the person they’re asking to be involved in their amazingly special day, can be trusted to deliver the goods.

‘Bespoke Handmade’
What are you paying for?

So most bespoke designs have an awful lot of time & energy expended on them, so much so that the cost of just the time to create them far outweighs the actual cost that you pay, not to mention the years of experience, quality materials, software & tools required to assemble the finished product. When you buy into a bespoke design service you expect beautiful results, you convey to the receiver of your invitation the care & love about the occasion they are being invited to.

My desire is to personally work with my clients to create and incorporate unique meaningful details into their stationery that resonate with the recipient, gives them a sense of the event to come & involves them in the excitement of the upcoming occasion. I hugely value building a relationship with my clients so that I can build on the designs I will present to them, it is a crucial part of the process to ensure I deliver a product that is perfect for them whilst being completely impartial to the design, what I like & what my client likes could be completely different & I’d be completely remiss if I foisted my style on any of them.

I’m sorry to say I have a real problem with people claiming to be bespoke stationers & using inferior materials, printers & designs to present you with a very poor product that may cost a few pence less than mine, it peeves me that these people are ripping you off. I also don’t like the corporate online buy a quick 100 postcards invites, choose your design & fill in the boxes for date time & place etc, these are only good for at best a night out with the girls or advertising your church jumble sale! They’re soulless, mass produced & lack any personal touch for such an important event.

I would like to finish by saying I love what I do, I have a real passion to help you with a design that is perfect for you, I’m very personable & can recommend alternatives in your design if your budget doesn’t quite stretch & ultimately I am here for you.

So working in the wedding industry I’m acutely aware of how many of my clients are feeling, disappointed, worried, anxious & stressed to the max during this time, when what you should be feeling is excited, giddy, happy & so much in love with that special person you are planning to spend the rest of your life with. Many of you have had to put your plans on hold, change your dates, find a new venue even and I want to help you get back to those exciting giddy heights of planning your special day, I want you to feel excited again.
Here at Box Clever Wedding I create bespoke designs of stationery, it’s a personal service providing you with a unique stationery set that reflects you as a couple, because I’m not a computer just applying inputted information to a design format, you get me, Rosy, talking to you, affirming your desires, designing & tweaking each part & ensuring you have a beautiful design delivered personally, I will get excited with you as I do with all my clients, if there is uncertainty in your plans we can still work on the design digitally and have it ready to go for when your plans are firmer so let’s start getting excited again. I love what I do & I think it shows in my work......but I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Well I was asked to make some Harry Potter themed wedding stationery last year and I have had to wait what seems like an absolute age before I could share with you all this lovely package, I am very pleased with the outcome being as I was a complete novice on everything HP, I had to do quite a bit of research to make sure I captured everything the couple wanted.
