We had an audience of inquisitive cows while setting up the ever-popular rice pails for the wedding ceremony at the Stone Circle on Saturday. These are taken to the marquee along with all the guests on a tractor and trailer after the Ceremony so have a double life. ❤️

A bouquet made for a November Bride in 2019.
We obviously didn't have so much wind and rain that Autumn as we've had this year as everything in it was grown here in Somerset.
The important thing for weddings that are early or late in the year, is not to be too prescriptive in your Brief to the florist. Leave it fairly open so that you can have the very best of what is available. This Bride wanted warm, romantic Autumnal shades in a loose slightly cascading bouquet. A perfect Brief for November.

"I want them to look more rustic and natural" said my client, "tall arrangements so that people can see each other across the tables".
So I delved into the depths of my memory and dredged up the technique learned as a Girl Guide many years ago, for making a tripod for a washing bowl.
And how pretty does it look with these Autumn flowers from the garden.
All sustainable or reused materials -hazel and flowers cut from the garden, jute, hessian, raffia and a repurposed yogurt pot.

Five years since this happy photo of Ava and Peter's lovely Autumnal wedding. IT makes it all worthwhile when you get great feedback from customers. Ava said:

Couldn't resist posting this beautiful dahlia photo. Such intricate, delicate markings. A shame it has slightly damaged petals, but that's a small price to pay for providing a habitat for our wildlife here among the flowers in Somerset.
