His human Dad is part of our wonderful team but Cobweb is Available to book for all weddings via his human Mum Isn’t he absolutely gorgeous??😍😍😍 what an amazing spectacle he’ll be adding to our future weddings! We love the wedding business we really do and it’s a joyful industry to be in. So this post is not a complaint but a plea… Just as we all know the cost to restaurants of customers not turning up for a table, please consider what the ramifications are for a venue. We normally only hold viewings on Wednesday and Thursday but allowed a couple to book in for 12:30pm today. 3 members of housekeeping staff and 1 member of grounds staff came in on a bank holiday and I turned down a day out with friends in order to get the venue ready. Beds were made, cottages cleaned, lawns mown, gravel raked, woodland swept candles lit, cushions plumped and then the couple did not show up, email or call. It’s a little bit heartbreaking and happens more often than you would guess. Normally we take it on the chin but because it’s a bank holiday and we are all tired from the wedding party who only left yesterday it has made us all a bit deflated. Thank you to the amazing Team Marshwood Manor who came in anyway, I appreciate you all so much. I get a lot of questions about shoes. Most of our couples choose Marshwood Manor because they have fallen in live with the idea of getting married in our crazy romantic woodland bower. BUT they also want all the glamour and elegance of any other wedding and hence the shoe dilemma. Well there are as many solutions as there are brides. Last year we had white wellies, white converse, bejewelled trainers, stilettos with heel clips, wedges and block heels. Whatever makes you feel fabulous, we can make work.
