We were glad to be back racing at Ludlow last week, having lost the previous two meetings to the weather.

A good day with the owners and trainers busy and the annual Members lunch offer proving a big success. We had some lovely feedback in the Jubilee viewing restaurant and have tables available next week on 19th February. Bookings are available online or via the office.

We had a great evening on Friday catering for the Institute of Brewers at Burton Town Hall.

We catered for two fantastic Burns night dinners on Saturday. The first was in Walsall for nearly 200 people and was a four course choice menu with coffee.

The second dinner was held in Stourport for 50 guests with a three course menu and coffee. Both had traditional pipers to pipe in the haggis, and venues looked fantastic with the themed decor.

Both events were over the moon with our service, and we were delighted to get lovely feedback.

Last week, we were back at Ludlow racing for the first time in 2025...or so we thought.

Unfortunately, the meeting was abandoned just before the first race, the joys of winter racing! By this time, we had fed the majority of our hospitality guests and over 160 owners and trainers and annual members, so all was not totally lost.

Many of our guests stayed for the afternoon and were in the main good humoured, for which we were most grateful, having gone to so much effort setting up and preparing all the food.
To cap it off, one of our trucks had to be recovered from the racecourse!

We had lost the first meeting of Jan with a waterlogged track on the day of racing, which was very costly, so after the latest misfortune we are hoping for better luck in February when we have three meetings. We hope to see you and some racing on 5th February....hospitality bookings are available online.
