What a great first day back we had. Lovely to see so many happy students returning and also great to welcome new ones.
We are still accepting new starters for the whole of September. After that enrolment closes until January. We have spaces in our Teen and Adult musical theatre classes.

Harpers Schoool of Singing and Drama are now enrolling for September. We have spaces in the following classes:

Mini Musical Theatre ages 3-6 years

Teens Musical Theatre Ages 13-17 years

Adult Musical Theatre 18 years plus

***********And New for September DRAMA with the amazing Gemma Bourke for ages 6-12 years.*************

We are an incredibly friendly school who give you ample opportunity to perform on stage and various events. Build your confidence, make new friends and learn new skills doing something you love.
Your first lesson is FREE to try so dont wait too long to get in touch as places are limited.

Wow that was rather something special ! Our show was a huge success. All of our students and staff did us proud.
We also want to say thank you to every single person who has helped us in anyway to make this show possible !

We are now out for the summer but look forward to welcoming everyone back in September.

Show weekend is finally here ! We are sooooo excited for our musical theatre students to take to the stage with our big summer show Back in Time.
After today’s rehearsal it’s very clear it’s going to be fabulous!!!

Some of our students performed at Lower Hopton Primary Schools party in the park today.
We were incredibly proud of how professional they all were and it’s safe to say we are feeling show ready 🤩🎶🎭

Whilst we are busy making preparations for our summer show, we are making an appearance at Party in the park for Hopton Primary school.
Our students will be performing at 5pm and will be giving everyone a taster of our show pieces.

This weekend Brighouse went back to the 1940s. Our principal Natasha helps to organise the entertainment as well as performing.
Our school usually partakes too but this year as we are so busy preparing for our summer show we had to give it a miss. We will be back next year no doubt but we are incredibly grateful that Stuart Black a Brighouse local who attends the weekend every year has donated a whopping £200 towards our show funds !!!

We are so thankful to Stuart for this generous donation. It means that we are able to put this towards our theatre hire/ costumes and props.

We will be inviting Stuart to our summer production at Bradford Playhouse.

We would like to say a Huge thank you to Melanie Rumble and all our friends at Dr A a was xeq9 Our Place Calderdale for raising £60 towards our show costume funds.
They held a table top sale to help raise these funds and we are all so grateful.

Our place is a wonderful charity who provide a day centre for the over 50s and others. Our staff regularly perform for them and we are hopefully arranging for our students to do a special Christmas performance for them in December.

We had a fantastic morning doing a casting workshop down at Act4tv Leeds. We are working on a very exciting co-operation to hopefully open up more doors for our students who want to pursue a career in Tv/film.
The casting director commented on how impressed he was with the professionalism of our students and in particular everyone being off script.

We are straight back at it this week. Preparations are underway as we work towards our next big school production. This year we are performing "Back in time" at Bradford Playhouse. All of our musical theatre students are taking part. Which decade's do you think we will be covering ?

Late to the party posting ! But a few weeks ago we held our first ever singers cabaret evening at the studios. We wanted to give our students the opportunity to perform using professional microphones and equipment in an intimate setting. We believe its so important for students to build confidence performing to an audience in diffrent settings. All our students did amazing and we also presented our LAMDA exam students with their certificates. We had to celebrate the fact that every entree obtained DISTINCTION !!!!!!

Had to share this clip of one of our students Amelia. She did a beautiful cover of Lovely by Billie Eilish. Amelia has such a mature,unique voice which suits this song and we think she sounds stunning. We cater to all types of styles and voices in singing lessons and every singer is unique to us and we tailor each lesson to the student.

New intake is now officially closed! We want to say a big thank you to all those who have come along to try classes out and also who have recently joined us. Its so lovely to see our little school growing. Anyone interested in our musical theatre classes, our next intake will be September.

Well the results from our LAMDA singing exams are in and i am absolutely blown away by the results.
Every single student got Distinction and marks over 80 out of 100.
A massive well done to all and congratulations to our hard working teachers Melissa, Emma and Natasha.

We are also proud to be supporting students from other dance schools and supporting their singing alongside their dance training. We are all about making connections and helping other schools out too!

We are so excited to be welcoming lots of new faces for our trial classes this evening. If you are attending tonights classes, please note that our adress is My Tribe Studios, Mill Lane, Brighouse, HD6 1PL. We are still listed at our old place on google maps so please dont go to The Assembly rooms or The roller disco.
We do have signs up outside the building so please look out for those. We have a small car park but this can get full easilly so we recommend parking on the street outside or in Sainsburys where you get 90 mins free parking.

We are still buzzing over our school production of Snow white just before christmas. We are currently offering FREE trial lessons on Tuesday 9th January.
Want to join us ? Now is the perfect time as we begin new show work on our next big Production in the summer.
Our school is about building confidence, making friends and memories that last a life time. Each student gets a chance to shine in our shows.

Minis Musical theatre 3-6 years 5pm till 5:30pm

Junior Musical theatre (fully booked)

Teens Musical theatre 13-17 years 6:30pm till 7:30pm

Adults 18 years plus 7:30pm till 8:30pm

We also have availability for private singing lessons on Monday evenings ages 6 years and above (Free trial does not apply to these classes).

And thats a wrap! Our students absolutely dazzled in our pantomime this evening. The level of talent and sheer joy that shone out of each student really made us feel so proud of our little school.
We break for Christmas and a well earned rest now but we return in January to begin work on our summer production to be held at Bradford playhouse.
We are now enrolling new students for January so if you would like to join us please do get in touch.
We have space in our Mini and adult musical theatre classes.

Today was our LAMDA singing exam sessions.
I am absolutely blown away by the hard work, dedication, professionalism all our students showed.
The examiner commented on how polite and professional they all were.
Singing exams are not Just about marks and grades, we feel it gives students a great experience as a performer, a great confidence booster, a sense of self achievement and also preps them for future auditions.

Here are a few pictures of some of our students from today (more to follow). It was our biggest session yet with 16 students entering this year.Well done everyone and a big thank you to our teachers Melissa and Emma.

We are a bit late posting as we are in full prep for our panto but we had a fantastic day performing for Brighouse Christmas light switch on, on Saturday.
Our students did us proud performing some of the songs from panto along with a few christmas ones thrown in.
Its so important that students have experience doing all kinds of diffrent performances and this is what our school is all about.
Next stop Pantoland !

We had a fun night with our Mini and Junior Musical theatre class last night. As it was Halloween we couldnt resist having a night of games, dancing and lots of treats. At Harpers we are not just another performing arts school. We are all about making friends and memories for life.
We are also very busy preparing for our own panto performance, Snow White in December.
