My name is Nina Carina. I have always been a creative soul, with a particular passion for music, writing, poetry and singing.
As I moved into further education, I completed a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, receiving a 2:1 at Roehampton University in London and furthering my passion for poetry writing in particular. Whilst studying there, I took a cross-curricular module with Music called 'Song Writing', and there, I melded my passion for poetry and singing for the very first time and began writing songs.
After moving to Brighton in 2010, I started writing and recording vocals for tracks under the alias 'Peachy', gaining several releases on labels such as Project Allout Records , 24hr Garage Girls and SWB Records .
In 2014, I completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education at Brighton University and graduated as a Primary School Teacher, becoming a Music Coordinator at one of the primary schools I taught at.
I had always dreamt of becoming a DJ, so I learnt how to mix and within a year, I joined Codesouth.fm as a radio show host, with a show called 'Phat Fridays'. I soon found myself playing at regular bookings across a wide range of events and venues.
In 2021, I left my radio show and set up my own event called G3T LOO5E. Here, I built upon my skills in event management, promotion and networking and found a space to showcase and support local talent.
Alongside my DJing and vocal work, I also began to produce music, with releases such as 'Reckless' coming out on Sagmen label.
Whilst working in NHS mental health, I facilitated Poetry Workshops and joined the Music Network, where I had the opportunity to shadow a DJ workshop hosted by Fatboy Slim , which inspired me to do something similar myself.
I therefore decided to set up my own Ltd company called G3T Creative LTD. Through this company, I teach DJing and creative writing lessons and will be running wider projects and workshops across different creative fields.
I want to link in with like-minded creatives and build a space to continue to grow my creative passions, as I support others to do the same.
