Closing out 2024 with a steppas special - if you’re into higher-paced heavy cuts, this one’s for you 💥

Expect 90s-style steppa selections, including dubplates, and a mix of new and unreleased tracks, with manipulated analogue effects and heavyweight bass through a pre-amp 🔉

The flyer features tunes by and talented lionesses. It was a pleasure to meet him in Portugal, great respect to his support of the sistren, including the Women on a Mission series, which highlights so many talented sistas 🔥

I recall listening to Vibronics’ Divine Intervention about seven years ago, whilst on the tube heading to a corporate job in central London, and at the time, my life felt far from aligned. But that tune sparked a vision of playing it in a session someday.

I’d never previously thought of myself as a selector, but that moment, amongst others, planted a seed - motivating me to learn the craft and dive deeper into the conscious teachings carried in the lyrics of this music. Meeting Steve years later feels like a full-circle moment, a reminder of how music connects us and transforms our paths.

Waking up to the news of Ras Muffet’s passing last Saturday was emotional. May he rise in eternal power 💛

We played Jah music in his honour and livicated to him, playing on Bassi Sound in Bristol for ’Roots & Dub On the Horizon’

The previous edition of these sessions, Ras Muffet had been there himself, smiling and also being supportive when I ran some tunes on Jah Lokko sound. Eternal respect and love to a kind and talented soul 🕊️
