Kosmische Nights

Independent promoters of the finest electronic music. Expect synthesizers. Expect ethereal sounds. Expect ambience. Expect cosmic journeys. Expect to lie down.

Kosmische muzik started in the early 70s and was (West) Germany's attempt to explore new sound worlds, and challenge the old Anglo-centric rock/blues vocal-led music of the time. It was as much influenced by Stockhausen, Ligeti, Cage and the avant garde in general as it was from contemporary popular music. Kosmische (aka 'Berlin School') pieces are typically long and hypnotic so relax and enjoy.
