£60 for two for a lovely little feast for you to enjoy at home…centered on a classic Greek dish, giouvetsi, slow braised beef and orzo packed with cinnamon and rich tomato to warm your cockles. Good evening to all!! We are now serving Arissy plates Monday-Saturday. If you want a proper burger, we have it, if you want relaxed plates to share, we have that too…here’s the menu we’ll be serving all December maybe with some slight changes here and there. Specials also, changing weekly.

After a few weeks we’ve looked at what works, what we love and what you love, to put together a menu of all our tried and tested faves for you all to enjoy…come in, drink wine and a lovely time. Bookings made via The Kemp website only please!

Yessss, hello! Find us NOW on the beautiful streets of Kemptown. This week we moved into our new home, taking over the kitchen at The Kemp, a beloved community pub that’s fed and watered Brighton residents for decades, and a place that Isy used to come to with her family as a little bubba.

A new one for Arissy, we’re now serving seven days a week with pub grub Monday-Saturday, roasts on Sundays and the dishes you know from us Weds + Thurs PM and all day Fri and Sat. Isy and I went a bit nostalgic last night looking directly at the spot this all started 🙃🙃🙃🙃

is in the kitchen with cousin , chef extraordinaire and wonderful man, and we’ve got Tilly, Isy’s mum, magically producing 100s of desserts for you all to go dreamy over. A huge thank you to our family and friends for your help in making this happen, and a massive thank you to Dan and Jess and the lovely FOH at The Kemp for looking after you all ♥️

What’s on the menu???? BRIGHTON BLUE BUÑUELOS, sobrassada, honey, up tonight on special. Haddock keftedes in preserved lemon butter sauce, tahini oyster mushroom and tarragon aioli and lamb flatbreads too. Our friends at Bramptons providing the very good meat, Brindisa and Odysea for all things sunny. The Cheese Man bringing us van drops.

BOOKINGS - please direct all bookings to The Kemp website at www.kemp.pub. Get going fast.

XMAS group bookings very welcome, we’ve already got a lot in so please contact The Kemp soon if you want to book us and the pub for a party/nice sit down dinner.

Some news from us although it’s been a while - find us in Kemptown everyday coming very soon. And I mean very soon, we have a new home opening for lunch and dinner and while we settle in, no big announcement yet, but if you do find us, Arissy plates and more are on the menu. If summer holidays are now a distant memory (booking all trips in September from now on), have a look at our last post - CAUSE WE ARE DELIVERING THIS SUNDAY and have just a few drops remaining. The menu, like this post, is basically an ode to lamb and the very good Greek stuff. DM/email by Thursday lunchtime to secure your order. Everyone who’s booked already, we’ll be sending confirmations round tonight ♥️

Isy and I spent a week in Ios early July, staying at the very beautiful and eating as you’d expect, grilled meat, Greek salad swimming in Ios olive oil, capers as big as your thumb, proper chips hand cut and thick and tzatziki with not so much lemon so changing ours a bit. OH my god, it was a real escape to the motherland-ish and the soul was very good for it. Miss you little Ios ♥️

PS the last pic shows the very beautiful ‘feta saganaki’ at Vilaeti Taverna, no question the best food on the island. They transformed the usual fried cheese into a hot melting pot of deep tomato sauce, aubergine and feta which gives you an idea of the Kaseri saganaki we’ll be delivering on Sunday. Also big congratulations to the three guys pictured who ordered the mixed grill.
