Jen is 30! 🥳

It’s been the craziest decade ever! I’ve spent almost my entire 20’s in the wedding industry and although I have made mistakes along the way, with no guidance, no degree, battling some demons & a little dusting of neurodivergence, I’m bloody proud of myself.

Making all of these memories with 1000+ brides and knowing how many people I’ve helped and created memories with is a blessing. I might beat myself up over things, but I’m definitely good at being a brides cheerleader and making sure there are no nerves, no insecurities and it’s laughter only!

If you can take one thing away from this post, remember that dimming someone else’s light does not make yours brighter and if you have a truly good heart, nothing can pe*****te it.

Here’s to closing one chapter and starting another! Excited to see what the next decade brings 🥂

Saturday is another record breaking busy day and also just so happens to be the last day of my 20’s! 🎉🎂🎈

Please do not show up if you haven’t got an appointment as we absolutely will not be able to accommodate and we don’t want to seem rude if we can’t let you in or we can only give you 20 seconds at the door! 🙈

It’s all becoming very real now that the store is beginning to empty… just a few weeks left! 🤯

We have this absolutely STUNNING Martina Liana gown in a size 22-26, but can be altered smaller or a corset can be put in the back for any sizes above 26.

If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know we announced our closure in November. After a huge response, we then decided to stay open and explore some other options.

After weighing out the pros and cons, we have decided the best thing to do in this current climate is close our store.

We don’t need to go into every detail, but please know this wasn’t an easy decision for us to make. If you own a physical shop that you put your all into, you will know how we are feeling 😞

The most important thing for us right now is to make sure our current brides are looked after and for them to know we aren’t vanishing.

If you are one of our brides and you haven’t received an email, please email us so we can give you all of the details!

Our last trading day is pencilled in for Saturday 18th February, unless we sell the rest of our stock before then. (which is likely!)

For any questions or enquiries, please email. Coming to the shop to speak to us will not be beneficial as we won’t be able to give you our full attention as we will be busy with appointments. We would also like to keep a paper trail of everything so nothing is forgotten.

Please understand that we do have a lot of brides and there is just one person replying to all of the emails and running the store, so I know you will have lots of questions, but please be patient with us for the next couple of weeks, we are truly doing our best.

Thank you so much for the support over the years and I’m sure when the current climate irons itself out, we will be back!

For now… if you’ve followed us since the beginning or have met me personally in store, you’ll know I’ve also been a photographer and videographer for 10+ years - I will be putting my energy back into this as I absolutely love to be creative and capture the memories! In due course, our socials will be Veils & Vows Photography & Videography 😊 website coming soon!

Just wanted to say thank you so much for all of the incredible messages we received yesterday after we announced our closure! Please don’t be sorry for us though, it was the right decision and we’re excited for the next chapter! 💖

To answer a few common questions we’ve had:

- Brides who have already ordered, your dresses are in production! We aren’t sure where you’ll be collecting them from yet, but we’re trying to sort something lovely for you 💖

- If you see a gown you love, you can still order it in your size, it’ll just be the usual price. It’s all of our samples which are in the sale as we obviously need to sell our stock 👰🏻‍♀️

- Appointments are highly recommended as we are VERY busy after the announcement, please DM or email for availability! 📅

- We don’t have an official closing date yet, it’s just when the stock is gone, it’s gone! 👗

- We have dresses, veils, accessories, shoes and yes we are selling furniture and wedding decorations from all of our fabulous window displays!

Hi angels! 😊 Little update - we are running super reduced hours from now until Saturday 8th January and are only opening for requested appointments until then.

We’ll be having a big admin update, so the website is having a revamp and I’ve got a few more Tik Tok’s up my sleeve! 👀
