We produce magical parties for people who care about good food and want to personalise their event in a stylish way. That includes weddings, private dining, corporate, parties big and small. We also do cooking lessons in our wonderful kitchen in a Hove mews and pop ups too.

Meknes to Fes

Our route today took us on the RN ? road. Fes is 70km from M so we made an early start, sun was not quite up and it was wonderfully cool. We cycled through the gate way out the medina and said goodbye to Meknes. It’s a beautiful city and we will have great memories. I would like to come back to M and see it when all the renovations are finished.

The road to Fes was busy with traffic but as always we felt quite safe cycling along the edge of the road. Thankfully there were few hills and the air felt cool with a smattering of rain! We are in the Middle Atlas and the landscape is greener, rolling and more populated.

Arrived in Fes at 1pm and found our riad in the old medina. We will shortly be met by a group of friends from Brighton and we’ll spend 3 days here together.

Test kitchen sessions: Burnt Basque cheesecake with winter berry compote👌💥 For the compote- 1. Combine 250g frozen fruit, 100g sugar and the juice of one lemon to a pan. 2. Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered for about 15 mins. 3.Blend until smooth and then pass through a sieve. Keep cool. For the cheesecake- 1. preheat your oven to 240C/220C fan/gas 9 2.generously butter a 20cm cake tin, and line it with two sheets of parchment at a 45-degree angle. 3. Mix 800g soft cheese and 225g caster sugar with an electric whisk until smooth. 4. Add 2 tbsp flour, 200g soured cream, 50 ml of amaretto, 4 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, and ¼ tsp salt, blend until smooth, and pour into the tin. 5. Tap to remove air bubbles, bake for 30 minutes, and cool in the tin. 6.Chill for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy the caramelized exterior and soufflé-like texture. Keeps well in the fridge for up to two days.
