Absolutely pelting it down with snow here in Brighton. Very pretty but always a worry for those out and about. The forecast isn’t evening showing snow so not sure how long it’ll last.

I hope that those of you who enjoy the snow are out having fun. I am watching from inside 🏡

Slay!

In December one of our silent disco kits was used for a teenagers birthday party.

Apparently their friends said it was ‘slay’. I think that’s one of the highest compliments a teenager can give so very happy with that!

The birthday girl had Wicked💚💖 tracks on one channel and Taylor 🫶🏽🐈‍⬛ on the other channel. Genius!

The parents also noted the silent disco wasn’t that silent. Whilst I can tell you your neighbours won’t here any music, they may well hear your guests singing at the top of their voices 👩‍🎤🤣

Book a silent disco for your teenagers birthday and see if you can slay their celebrations (did I use it right? 🤣)

Top nine!

Couldn’t resist. I knew there would be some of my favourite moments and photos here.

Huge thanks to those who took some of these and allowed me to share them with you -






No surprise most of them are on the beach, the location of our fabulous Daylight Disco Clubs.

The photo in the middle on the right is where it all began. March 2021 as one of the lock downs lifted a few pals and I silent disco’d as the sun set. As a bunch of mums we thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of space and movement and music following those insane lockdown months.

As we finished a young women approached and asked how she could join in next time. And I said it was just some friends and me so no 🤦‍♀️ I wish I could find her now and invite her along!

My other faves are 2 and 4. I love how music makes us spread our arms as if to welcome others in or gesture at all the wonder around. Promise I’m not drunk! Just very chuffed at being able to bring folks together in such a beautiful setting to do the most basic and vital of human things to gather with others and move to music.

I know it feels like there isn’t much headspace or joy to dance these days giving the state of the world. But a quick dance will rejuvenate you and hopefully the strength to keep going for yourself, loved ones and our fellow humans.

Tomorrow I’ll unwrap my tide chart from and get planning our low tide dances for 2025.

Well my legs are dressed as if they are heading to a party. Don’t tell them it’s just dinner and board games!

Happy New Year to you all whatever that means for you. Treating yourself with a night out or a night in. Making changes or not. Maybe not even giving this particular date any notice at all!

I see lots of folks saying they won’t buy anything new in 2025. Can I suggest spending your money with small, local and independent businesses and buying preloved stuff? Keeps your local economy ticking over and you can get some sparkle too! Just like my legs! 🤣 thanks to and the ever sparkly 🪩

Low cost silent disco kit hire!

During the winter months most of our headphones just sit in their boxes not living up to their potential.

So we run a low cost scheme for you to hire a kit for fun or fundraising for small local charities and community interest groups. And we’re open to hearing about fundraising for folk further afield so do ask!

You can use the kit to do a fundraising event and charge money for tickets.

Or just use it to give your volunteers, staff or those using your services an excuse to dance 💃🥳

Just checking through my photos for the inevitable end of year photo spam and I found this photo.

I test all my headphones and transmitters after each hire to check they are ok to go out to the next customer. If there’s a problem I make a note of what’s wrong with it before I send back to my suppliers for repair. I’m not sure this note is much help though 🤷‍♀️

I have no memory of this 🤣 but feels like a fitting summary of 2024. Some incredible highs and lows with lots of weird and wonderful in between.

Mostly life is weird tho with the suffering and apocalyptic state of world affairs. I don’t talk about it much on social media as it’s insane to be moving around each day getting on with things whilst so many are fighting for every breath let alone any kind of comfort or progress. I don’t know how to talk about both in the same space. 2025 ain’t looking any better but I’m hoping to do better with my tiny corner of social media.

Still not sure what you are doing for NYE?

Firstly - absolutely nothing is a totally valid and respected answer! 😂 Stay in, pop on your favourite tv show and eat all the things alone or with your best humans 📺🌯🧁❤️

Secondly- if you do like to mark the occasion or have an excuse to dance then hire one of our silent disco kits and invite a few or loads of pals over. Dancing is soooooooo very good for mind, body and soul.

You don’t need to get drunk to start dancing as the headphones immerse you and get you dancing straight away.

You can play all the songs you like rather than hope a nightclub DJ will play something you like.

You can have two streams of music so you can dance with your pals whilst you list to rock classics and they get to live their trance dreams out right next to you.

You can do all this at home where there are nice toilets 😂 Or if the weathers ok head out and about as all our kit is battery powered.

I’m just about to add up what kit I have left. I’m sure it’s at least one kit, maybe two! Comment below if you’d like me to let you know.

Merry Christmas!

No I’m not off to an outdoor rave. I’ve just spent the last half hour in the dark moving sleeping children, pillows, eye masks, bedding etc in order to fit my lovely parents into our home. Caught myself in the bathroom mirror and laughed out loud at the hilarious state of my hair. Head torch turned to the side to avoid blinding children 🔦

We’ve had a lovely day with close family. So very lucky that we’ve learnt how to give each other space and try meet everyone’s needs and let go of those expectations that don’t serve anyone any more . Love my caring family.

I’m not even that tipsy. Another Christmas revelation! We still have loads of fun without everyone getting s**t faced. Woo hoo! Though I did just eat loads of pick and mix that Santa gave me so hopefully will actually sleep! 🍬

Ended the night playing long tail rummy and listening to Elton 🤩

Just done my last disco delivery before Christmas (just before I hit the Baileys obvs) and thought I’d do it dressed as a reindeer 🦌 because why not!? 🤣

I’ve already had video evidence of one customer who’s busted their Christmas silent disco kit out early. We should all have a little dance every day you know! At the very least pop the radio on in the kitchen. I’m a gal myself but reckon is the best chance to get the whole family dancing 💃🪩🤩

My non glamorous wardrobe filled with glamorous shiny clothes reflecting the morning sunshine and creating daytime disco lights on all surfaces 🪩 ☀️✨

I’m sometimes wonder if I started a disco business just so I could buy shiny clothes 🤣🤩🙌

Over the festive period do remember to wear whatever the heck you like. Jogging pants at the dining table, your best dress to nip to the supermarket - anything goes as long as it works for you 🩳👗🩴

I’ve picked up a preloved shiny silver number (with pockets!) from this week so may wear that on Christmas Day but will definitely wear it to the beach next year 🌊🎧🌅
