With the exciting announcement of Gregory Porter's upcoming headline show, let’s take a moment to celebrate his journey with Brighton and Sussex. 💫

It began in 2013 when Gregory took the stage at Love Supreme for the first time, fresh off the success of his Grammy-winning album, ‘Liquid Spirit.’ His performance ignited a deep connection with Sussex, transforming him into one of the region’s most cherished performers. Since then, he’s returned to Love Supreme four times, most recently as a headliner in 2022!

Gregory made his Brighton debut in 2014 at The Brighton Dome, and in 2021 here at the Brighton Centre.

Now, as we look forward to 2025, we can’t wait to welcome back Gregory Porter and witness his enigmatic presence and his liquid gold voice once again.

From then to now… 🔙

Ahead of his headline show at the Brighton Centre this autumn, we thought we’d look back on Rag’n’Bone Man's journey in the Brighton music scene.

Born and raised in East Sussex, Rag’n’Bone Man moved to Brighton to pursue his music career. Initially trying his hand at rapping on the streets of Brighton in 2008, he became a part of Rum Committee, a key figure in the Brighton hip-hop scene. 🎶

As he developed into the artist he is today, he worked his way around the Brighton tastemakers, from singing at open mics at The Hope & Ruin, playing Brighton Dome for The Great Escape Festival and headlining Concorde 2.

A real credit to the Brighton scene and music community, we can’t wait for him to headline the Brighton Centre this November. 🙏

Celebrating a decade of Ben Howard’s ‘I Forget Where We Were’ 💜

Ahead of Ben Howard’s A Retrospective Tour: Celebrating 10 Years of ‘I Forget Where We Were’ - we wanted to look back at the key moments and success of the album.

1️⃣ Released in October 2014, ‘I Forget Where We Were’ marked Ben Howard’s second studio album, following his highly successful debut 'Every Kingdom.'
2️⃣ The album’s lead single and title track, “I Forget Where We Were,” quickly became a fan favourite with a whooping 120,000,000 streams on Spotify.
3️⃣ Following the album’s success, Ben Howard was nominated at the 2014 BRIT Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year, after winning the British Breakthrough Artist and Male Solo Artist the year before.
4️⃣ In November 2014, the album peaked at number 1 on the UK Official Album Chart.
5️⃣ In 2015, the album took Ben to Glastonbury, where he performed songs from the album live on the Pyramid stage.
6️⃣ This album marked a significant shift in Howard’s sound, moving away from the folk-influenced style of “Every Kingdom” towards a darker, more atmospheric soundscape. The evolution showcased his versatility.

What's your favourite Blade Runner quote? 🤔

Ridley Scott’s cult classic, Blade Runner, will be presented live in concert for the Brighton Centre this September.

The 2007 Final Cut will be shown on an HD screen, while Vangelis’ synthesiser-led score will be performed live by The Avex Ensemble (Avex Classics International) in sync with the 1982 motion picture.
