Nina and her team have been making floral dreams come true for many clients since 2008 (first as Ninushka Designs and then as Floranina). Nina became a NAFAS Area Demonstrator in 2018 and her demonstrations bring a lot of cheer to flower clubs and other organisations. She regularly teaches floral design in and around Sussex too. With a background in journalism Nina is the Editor of Flora magazine

(from September 2023) having previously been at the helm of the BFA trade magazine for five years. She was also the UK Editorial Advisor for Fleur Creatif until the imprint ceased trading during the spring of 2023.

I have to confess that I don't really like Halloween...

For me it just feels like a commercial circus trying to fill our homes with plastic tat...

Also, I cannot understand people paying lots of money to go to a field to pick a few pumpkins that have literally just been thrown on the ground a few hours before!!?? I mean they've not even been growing in that field...??!!

And then they're carved into lanterns but nine times out of ten the flesh is just thrown away.

Hey ho.

But show me a floral pumpkin any day and I'm happy; especially if they've been created by Attila Nemeth and team. 🎃

And I'm sure they eat pumpkin soup and pumpkin pie with those leftovers!

Oh, my days... the early bird catches the worm... and the glorious sunshine and the crowd-free views.

What a FABULOUS morning!

And boy are we happy we got here at 9am! The queues to get into the car park now are just CRAZY, CRAZY! 🤪 But then again, there simply is no better place to see autumnal colours in the UK, that's for sure. 🍁🍂🍃

Safely back home again and still glowing... such amazing feedback from my floral friends in Estepona.

I had the best time sharing my floral passion with them all and it's so pleasing to learn that they enjoyed it all.

What an afternoon!

Super smashing demonstration with my lovely floral friends in Estepona. So lovely to see so many familiar faces again.

Judging by all the fantastic comments I received, they all seem to have really enjoyed our floral journey together.

"When Art Met Flowers" was all about Frida Kahlo, Jean Sibelius, Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky and Antonio Gaudi, and I so enjoyed sharing lots of facts, fun and flowers with them all.

I am getting very excited to be seeing my friends in Estepona soon again...

We are delighted to welcome back Nina Tucknott from Sussex for our demonstration on Tuesday, October 15. Ninas’ demonstration ‘When Art met Flowers’ begins promptly at 3pm at El Paraiso Golf Club. Nina, Editor of Flora magazine is a keen photographer and gardener and will have lots of hints and tips to share with us. We look forward to seeing you all, everyone is welcome, visitors fee 15€.

Another tranquil morning creating some autumnal floral magic in my favourite period house.

Can't believe this was my last session this year 😢 as the house will begin its winter slumber at the end of this month.

And then the final premiere of my YouTube demonstrations commenced this afternoon; Colour Me Beautiful! What an amazing feeling it is to know how much joy my floral designs are giving to people during these strange times... 😍 So many have now watched all three themes so I have a proper fan club 👍😁👌 and new enthusiasts are coming on board all the time too which is so pleasing. The healing power of flowers is very powerful indeed and so incredibly important for our well being, and sharing it virtually during this horrid pandemic is great fun. The next YouTube demonstration airs on 6 March 2021, i.e. next Saturday at 2pm, so I am already looking forward to that... See you then... 💖

I have been a “working” floral designer since 2008 (first as Ninushka Designs and now as Floranina) and take great pleasure in liaising closely with my clients to make their floral dreams come true. I regularly teach floral design in and around Sussex too and get so much pleasure from that. And since January 2018 I became a NAFAS Area Demonstrator and now have the pleasure of visiting flower clubs near and far with my floral road show. I am also the Editor of the BFA Magazine (British Florist Association) and the UK Editorial Adviser of the Belgian Fleur Creatif Magazine (previously I was Editor Flora International Magazine for four years) which all means that I do keep my finger on the pulse in the floral world.
