Known for blending atmospheric elements with percussive club sounds in their DJ sets, the @wisdomteethuk founders take a fresh approach here, weaving glistening downtempo, minimal textures, and delicate guitar into a stunning flow state.

The Touching Bass program moves between live performance, holistic session and club night, with the revolutionary story of the soundsystem continuum, deep listening and our love of dancefloor togetherness at its core.

@buenavistaallstars announce European debut in Burgess Park on September 15!
Nobody channels the spirit of Cuban music like the Buena Vista All Stars, led by Ibrahim Ferrer Jr, son of Buena Vista Social Club’s golden-voiced singer and four original members of the pioneering group.
Making their European debut, the big band will transport us from the sun drenched fields of Burgess park to the streets of Cuba. Celebrating the heritage of the country’s rich musical history they will pay homage to the legendary band which laid its foundations as well as performing alongside projections of original members and Ibrahim Ferrer Jr’s father. @thejazzcafe

Urban griot and multi-instrumentalist Kaito Winse (vocals, tama, peul flutes, mouth bow) fortuitously collided with Brussels noise punk musicians Benjamin Chaval (drums, electronics) and Nico Gitto (guitar). Through a twisting sequence of events, the trio eventually met and began developing the soundworld of ancestral proverbs and dataist inspired technology. The Wire says they play "freaked, juddering electronic punk". Since their debut concert in July 2021, the band has been touring Europe intensively, while releasing an EP in January as a preview of their first album released in June, both of which were released on Glitterbeat.
The trio mostly play Kaito's compositions, each making sure to write their part very freely. At the end all compositions are collective. The griot handles proverbs. These are the pillars of wisdom. He can both murmur and harangue, while his intense flute solos come straight from a free jazz he never knew. Nico brings this very rare quality of being both able to ensure the groove of a very uncommon rhythmic baritone guitar and develop sophisticated sound experiences. Benjamin plays his low-fi drums with two cut pieces of brush handle. Also he provides an important Pure Data electronic part partially controlled by triggers, a real fourth wheel to the coach.
